"Marilyn's professional guidance and staging advice made a tremendous difference in the most recent home sales in Sharon and Brockton. In both cases, my clients were able to sell quickly with a return of $20,000 to $25,000 above their asking price. Marilyn took care of everything in the staging process, from start to finish. What sets her apart from other stagers is that she cares about her clients. Her goal is to deliver you her best."

"Beantown Movers is the best! They’re very professional, experienced, fast and reliable. And the price is lower than others too. My moving with them was very smooth, was the best experience I have ever. What they provided are beyond my expectations. The December of 2022 was very tough time for me. At the end of the month, the end of year, the choice with Beantown Movers was the best decision I made. It’s a present to my New Year. The moving were extremely efficient and smooth. They treated my belongings very carefully. They listen to my concern and what I want, and told me what they planned to do. The solutions they figured out were better than my knowledge. At the beginning, I was quite anxious because I was alone to take care of all moving and other things. But their working attitude and actions soon made me believe that they would help me to go through in the best way you can find in the market. Also the price they charged was very reasonable, much lower than other companies. Besides the moving, I had lots of things to dispose immediately. Dany noticed that and figured out the best solution for me with the most affordable price in the most efficient way. What Dana did were more than moving and disposal. He cared about people, not only for the business. He is kind hearted, optimistic and works very hard. His attitude for the life and work inspired me in many ways. I am sure Beantown Movers will grow quickly, although their business is already widely recognized and has won many customers, ranging from big houses to apartments around MIT. I would find them for my future moving and strongly recommend Beantown Movers to everyone."

"Jacob and his crew are very dependable and reliable. They showed up every day, kept me updated via text messages. Jacob did an amazing job on the total renovation of my mud room/ breezeway. The week he did the renovation it was almost 100 degrees out. He should up everyday on time and worked a full 8 hour day."

"When we purchased the Market Ready service from TNTS through Angie's List back in December 2014, I expected that our $89 would buy us a visit from someone who would simply walk through our home and point out things that, if improved, would make our home ready to be put on the market for sale. However, when Brandon and Leslie arrived, they exceeded every expectation we had! A Black-owned business, local to Milton (our hometown), a man with significant contracting experience, savvy, and extremely persuasive. By the time he left, we felt TNTS was our dream come true. Finally, someone who would get into the boat with us! TNTS would have as much interest in preparing our home for sale, selling it, and purchasing a new home for us as we did ourselves

We were impressed with his professionalism and would recommend you to others.

Our only disappointment was their inexperience working with large insurance claims. By February, our home was severely damage by ice dams. We were never able to enter into a contract to renovate our home and make it ready for sale.

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

The main factors to consider when staging your home when selling are your budget, number of rooms to stage, and how long to keep the staged setup. Since home staging costs about $600 per room when using professional services, you may want to only stage the rooms that are most important to potential buyers, including the kitchen, living room, and primary bedroom. You should also consider which repairs or updates are necessary before staging your home, such as painting interior walls, carpet cleaning, and refinishing hardwood floors.

Professional home staging services can vary between companies and properties, but the primary goal is to set up a house with aesthetic furniture and decor to entice potential buyers. Many stagers offer customizable packages, and you can often pay for additional services. Common offerings include:

  • Design and Planning: Color design, planning each room's layout, and professional interior design services.

  • Furniture and Decor: Choosing and renting furniture, decor, and artwork. This also includes the setup and takedown of all rented materials.

  • Arrangement and Organization: Rearranging existing furniture, decluttering, and organizing the space.

  • Ambiance: Creating a welcoming atmosphere with strategic lighting and accessories.

  • Repairs and Maintenance: Minor repairs, home maintenance, and addressing visible issues.

  • Curb Appeal: Improving the home's exterior with services like painting and garden bed management.

It's best to connect with a professional home stager to see what’s included in their specific packages or to request a custom service.

Yes, removing a fireplace can decrease your home's value, as it is a sought-after feature for many buyers. The potential loss in value is estimated to be between $1,000 and $5,000. The impact can vary by market and climate; for example, a fireplace is more valued in colder regions like Minnesota than in warmer areas like Florida.

However, if a fireplace is in poor condition and needs extensive repairs, removing it might be a reasonable option. When deciding, weigh the benefits of removal (more floor space, less maintenance, reduced energy loss) against the potential decrease in home value. If you plan to sell soon, it is generally advised not to remove it.

Fresh baseboards can increase a home’s value because they refresh the look of your walls. This can make a good impression on buyers and potentially boost your home’s resale value. This is particularly helpful if your existing baseboards are in bad shape, which can age the look of your walls.

Consider also investing in the cost to install shoe molding for an extra-polished look that can further boost resale value.

Most staging projects take 2-5 days, including furniture arrangement, décor placement, and touch-ups.
