Small jobs welcome

"Fabiano was a pleasure to work with. He was punctual when showing up to provide an estimate and to the project itself. He gave me accurate time lines and updates in real time when fixing my deck. After comparing 4 other contractors to replace my deck, Fabiano gave the best quote with no surprises and the estimate was spot on! I would absolutely recommend Fabiano for your next project"

"Bob and his team did an excellent job. I waited awhile before posting my recommendation because I wanted to make sure that their work lasted and was completely 100% durable. They not only did great with Mold Removal caused by another negligent HVAC company, they also replaced the affected drywall areas along with carpentry services. Do yourself a favor and hire Bob and his team.....best of all is that they're a family business as well and they're a delight to have in your home. They're also very conscious about cleaning up after themselves. I would definitely hire them again....you should too!"

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Although glass block windows are made of multiple layers of thick glass, they can still break. If an individual block shatters, it can be removed and replaced, but this is a job for a window repair professional. The project is often complex and may require breaking the block further for removal. Do not attempt to handle it yourself, as the broken glass can be dangerously sharp. A professional will have the necessary tools and expertise to replace the broken glass block quickly and safely. Before hiring, confirm that the repair pro has experience with this specific type of window.

Most installations take 1-3 days, depending on the number of blocks and customization requirements.

Glass block installation can be relatively expensive due to the range of material costs and the labor time to assemble this type of specialty window. The process proceeds slowly as the glass does not absorb moisture from mortar and silicone caulk takes longer to harden, leaving spacers to hold up the structure until the caulk or mortar begins to cure. Plus, if your current windows have structural issues or damage, you’ll need to repair them before beginning the project, increasing your bottom line.

Installing glass block windows has benefits and disadvantages, as with most materials. The pros and cons can vary depending on the type of glass block and the window location.

Pros

  • Maintains privacy while letting light into the bathroom

  • Energy efficient

  • Sealed to prevent drafts

  • Aesthetically pleasing

  • Strong and secure

Cons
