Customers say: Quick response

"Hired company for complete deck tear down and rebuild with framing and trex deck. Deck work is amazing and we love the final product. Overall work was great quality and professional. Did have issues at times with completion dates and trying to contact john at times; however, John always got back to me in a timely manner and explained thoroughly what was going on. He will always get back to you and try to reticfy any issues you have, which was very nice to see and witness first hand. Would not hesitate to use this company for any contracting needs you might have. We have another project already scheduled to complete with John's company this summer."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Wonderful experience! I'm thrilled with the quality of products and workmanship. I was hoping for a new storm and interior door only. Because of their financing options, I was also able to get 3 new windows upstairs and a beautiful new bow window in my living room (a window I thought I'd never be able to afford!). I no longer need towels to block the drafty windows nor "draft-dodgers" at my door. As a "Golden Girl", I'm a tough sell, because I can't afford to treat myself to better quality items. However, I now realize that what I thought was a "good" window installed about 10 years ago is actually junk, after comparing the quality of the products. While watching the various snow storms during the past few weeks, I wondered why I was hearing the wind blowing in my living room. It didn't take long to realize that the sounds were come through the "good" windows at the side of my house that were NOT installed by Green Eco. I went outside and looked at the "good" window, after seeing the outside of the new windows that were installed upstairs by Green Eco. YUCK! What a difference! Everything I was told by the salesperson is true. Seeing and learning about the sample products I was shown made me a believer that their products are definitely worth the expense. All of their products have a Lifetime Guarantee, so I know they'll be just as perfect long after I'm gone! My upstairs bedroom is warmer now than it ever was. I'm truly amazed at the difference. My 6-panel bow window was installed on 12/16/20 - the day we were expecting a snowstorm. The installers refused to let that stop them, and they drove away in dark blizzard conditions, as I stared out my beautiful window with tears in my eyes. I never thought I'd live long enough to ever afford to have that window replaced (before it fell out!). The crew was so professional and hard-working, I even made them lunch! The craftsmanship of the carpentry is excellent. I've even decided to use a clearcoat on the woodwork, instead of the usual white paint around the window. It looks amazing! My interior door is white on the inside, but those who see my house are welcomed by a beautiful country blue door on the outside, along with my new high quality storm door. The "Rain" design of the glass in the door is mesmerizing in the sunlight. As the most honest person some people might ever care to meet, you can trust me. Green Eco's products might seem a bit pricey compared to others you might contact, but the difference in the end result is well worth it. Yes, I have a monthly payment plan, buy this bill I can pay with a smile. The total cost of my happiness is about half of what I was quoted for only a "good" bow window within the last 15 years. Now I have what I believe is perfection. Thank You! Green Eco Solutions tickled this lady's heart!"

Garden windows bring more light into the room than a flat window, and if you choose one that will open, it can provide more fresh air as well. Even if it's a small window the extra light and source of air can be refreshing. You can create more shelf space in the window area for the room with a garden window.
If you’re looking to add value to your home by doing some remodeling, vinyl siding pays off. Adding new siding to your home was at the top of the list of projects with good returns on investment. While updating the siding on your home might not seem as glamorous as other remodeling projects like a new kitchen, the benefits of vinyl siding make the investment well worth it. "First off they are probably a great company.  I just feel a need to speak about their approach.  Had I known from the reviews the manner in which they do business, I would not have called them because I needed more than a salesperson before I laid down this much money.
A gentleman came out and quickly measured our home for siding and windows and then brought a plethora of stuff into our home to discuss the estimate.  He asked us what our needs were for our 25 year old fairly average built house.  We said we wanted to do it once and we wanted energy efficiency.
He proceeded to demonstrate "his" top of the line window and other windows that of course were not up to his.  This took at least an hour.  At the point he got out the heat lamp, we asked him to stop because we were satisfied with the quality of the window.
He then moved onto siding and showed us his top of the line siding that has the molded Styrofoam behind it.  He showed us the colors and asked us which one.  At this point in the process we had not narrowed down our color choices yet and he seemed utterly annoyed by that.
He then gave us a quote written on yellow tablet paper that was VERY high.  We said flat out "no."  We asked him if he had more mid-range products.  He said yes but tried to steer us away from them.  We explained that although we understood that the products he was selling were high quality and probably worth the money they cost,  they were overkill in a home like ours.  Reluctantly he gave a quote for the mid range products that was about $5000 cheaper.  Then he had to make a phone call.  After the phone call which was made within our earshot seemingly on purpose suddenly the price was about $5000 cheaper than that on both the high and mid range items.  That number was now within range of our other quotes.
These tactics are used by numerous companies in this industry.  I am not faulting it or calling it wrong but for us we were not comfortable.  There were some issues with our home that were unique to this home that he could not address being only a salesperson and yet I needed to know how they were going to be addressed before moving forward. He didn't really get to know our home.  For example we already had Styrofoam underneath our siding so we certainly didn't need another layer, but he never looked to find out.  Bottom line if you know what you want and need or just simply want new windows or siding and will just take whatever,  they will do that for you and help you feel good about what you are getting.  I do believe their products are good. But if you want help figuring out your needs you will need to find a contractor who gets down and dirty and does the actual work.

Siding questions, answered by experts

Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Composite material doesn’t warp in high temperatures the way some kinds of vinyl siding can.

That said, composite siding is not entirely immune from moisture damage. It should still be properly installed so that moisture can properly drain from behind the siding, and protected by eaves and clean gutter so the siding doesn’t get repeatedly soaked by rain, which could lead to damage.

This is a tricky answer because how fast you work, how large your team is, and what type of siding you install will all determine your total time. One person placing bricks around an entire house can take weeks, but a team of 10 could complete the job in just a few days. Installing siding is a job that’s best done by a pro, as they are experienced and will perform solid work. A rough guideline for DIYers is to budget 15 minutes per square foot of siding.

When moisture infiltrates your siding, it can result in deterioration and decay of the sheathing, cause structural damage to your foundation, and provides an ideal breeding ground for mold. Mold growth can lead to various health-related problems, such as itchy eyes, sneezing, allergies, and asthma. Mold and dampness commonly attract a wide range of insects, so if your siding has taken any kind of water damage, it could invite some unwelcome guests.

If you have stucco on the outside of your home, it’s technically considered cladding and not siding, but beyond that, it’s impossible to tell without a little digging. Without damaging the siding material, expose part of it to see if there’s an air gap between the siding and your exterior wall. If there is, you have cladding. If the siding is affixed directly to the exterior wall, you have a simple siding system.

You should restain or refinish your home's cedar siding every three to seven years to maintain its appearance and ensure maximum protection. The precise frequency depends on several factors, including your local climate, the siding's exposure to severe weather like direct sunlight, rain, and wind, the quality of the initial stain application, the type of stain used, and the condition of the wood.

Homeowners in harsh climates with high humidity and significant direct sunlight should plan on restaining every three years, while those in milder locations can wait up to seven years. For the longest-lasting protection in particularly harsh environments, consider using an opaque stain.

If you're looking for a lower-maintenance alternative, vinyl or aluminum siding are options to consider. Although their installation cost may be higher, they don't require as much upkeep over time, which can provide more value, especially in areas with excessive rainfall or high humidity.
