Don’t tear it Out!!! We’ll Modify it into a Low Step Shower for a Fraction of the cost of a replacement unit. * I cut down the dam of bathtubs for the Elderly & Physically Impaired, so it is an easy low step entryway into the shower … * Each one is custom made to your bathtub … It is NOT a kit … * I use solid fiberglass panels, that are permanently bonded to you tub … NO Caulking * After the entry way is built, I color match, in the ball park, the color of your existing Tub … * I’ve been in business since 1989 … * 5 year guarantee on all our work, although I have never had a problem, call back on Tub to Shower Conversions … * I install grab bars that are 100% Stainless Steel * Types of tubs we convert into showers: porcelain-Cast-iron, steel or fiberglass bathtubs * http://www.sharerfiberglassrepair.com/ 8149428892, 8142387700, 8146844721, 8142668994 additional phones

We offer 5 years no interest loans (if qualified) and other finance options. All of our installation crew are full time, long-term employees with full insurance coverage; we do not use subcontractors! We can provide references in your area and give free no obligation cost quotations. We also offer a 30 day money back price guarantee (call for details).

"I supposedly won their contest at the State College Home Show 2022 for $1200 certificate. Rep came out and knew nothing about giving me the prize I won. Should have seen this as red flag. Window and entry door replaced anyway. Like the window. BUT, the door has major air draft coming in down the side and across the bottom. Have been calling repeatedly for 2 months leaving multiple messages- no return call since back in October. Company sent me letter 11/30 and called me that evening trying to get me to hire them to do more work. Assured me they would send someone to correct problem with initial work. Still have not received phone call or service visit from anyone in this company. Don't enter their contests at Home shows- I think they use this as way to get into your home to sell you their company when you haven't really won anything. and don't hire them to do any work. They will not fix any problems!!"

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

Fiberglass tubs last between 10 and 15 years or more if they’re well-maintained. Proper care will help them last as long as possible. However, fiberglass bathtubs are prone to cracking, fading, and scratches over time. Bathtub installation by a plumber is one of the best ways to ensure your tub has the right support to last its full lifespan.

You can use other ways to seal the space where your tub and the bathroom tile meet. Using sealant tape, epoxy sealer, and spray foam can be just as effective as caulking your bathtub. When using alternatives to caulk, the one that is best for you depends on your preferences.

Sealant tape takes less time and effort to use, which is why some homeowners prefer it. Meanwhile, epoxy sealer creates a smooth and glossy finish that can complement your bathroom. Lastly, spray foam is waterproof and can act as insulation for your tub.

Refinishing or installing a tub liner comes down to your personal preference, budget, and timeline. It costs $480 to refinish a tub, and it takes about six hours. In comparison, installing a liner costs between $800 and $1,000 and takes about a day or less, including plumbing fixtures.

Don’t let the following items sit in your sink, or you’ll end up with a stain:

  • Tea bags

  • Wet cloths

  • Sponges

  • Hair dye

Two alternatives to reglazing are installing a bathtub inlay or a bathtub liner. An inlay is a low-priced mat that adheres to the bottom of a bathtub or shower. It’s useful for sealing minor leaks and concealing damage on the bottom of a tub. On the other hand, a bathtub liner is essentially a protective casing that goes over the entire tub. They are usually custom-fit and cost more than reglazing yet don’t last as long.
