"Overall, I'm satisfied with the service, quality, and price. I had scheduled the driveway and concrete work over a month ahead of time. Unfortunately, due to an abundance of rain, TMC was backed up in their work and needed to complete the job several weeks after the approximate date they originally communicated. I didn't have a problem with this, but I would prefer that they sent me an email or gave a phone call to let me know rather than me having to call them to find out why there was a delay. After that point, communication improved and I was given advanced notice of the exact date of work. The work was completed quickly and I am very satisfied with the look of the new driveway and concrete. I'm also satisfied with the quality of the grading that was done to minimize puddling on the driveway (a major reason I had the driveway replaced in the first place). Unfortunately, the work crew forgot to put up caution tape after the job was done as we agreed to, but they were apologetic and offered to come back later that day to do it. The price of the service was competitive with other quotations that I had received for the work."

"They were very meticulous in pouring and finishing the concrete sidewalk. They sealed the concrete to protect from heavy road salt. They replaced dirt and restored my lawn to the previous condition. This crew shows up a scheduled time for the job, gets their own permits, and schedules inspections. We love our new sidewalk. It’s perfect!"

Concrete Driveways FAQs, answered by experts

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where you store it. If you can keep it in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. Regardless of storage conditions, it is also good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before winter storage.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where it will be stored. If it's kept in a location where temperatures could drop to freezing, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage to the machine. To prevent this, you can add antifreeze to the pump. While emptying the machine with compressed air is an alternative, it can be a tedious process and may not remove all the liquid. Filling small cracks in your driveway with patching material is usually the most affordable fix, costing about $2 to $3 per square foot. For larger damage, however, these repairs won’t last, so it’ll save you more to resurface or replace the driveway, depending on the extent of the issues.

Overall, a paver driveway is considered the easiest to maintain because homeowners are able to do driveway repair one piece at a time without impacting the rest of the driveway. Unlike paved options, paver driveways contain individual stones that aren't physically connected. By comparison, you may need to reseal or redo a full asphalt driveway if just one portion sustains a significant crack.

Oil can permanently stain a concrete driveway if it fully dries or sits for weeks without cleaning. Concrete is porous and absorbs the oil deeper over time. That’s why it’s best to remove an oil stain when it’s wet by applying an absorbent material, sweeping the area, applying dish soap, scrubbing, and then rinsing.
