"We had our basement waterproofed in May 2019, the crew was out for 3 days. They also did some landscape grading. It's been 1.5 years and no problem. Very professional company. If I have any questions Carl or his wife, Jayna, respond promptly. I would highly recommend ABC for waterproofing a basement."

"We have had our Everdry system for 6 years now and water simply does not come in. The job progressed as scheduled, with explanations offered during all stages of completion. The people in the work crew were very courteous and friendly. The job was completed on time. My wife was so happy when they were finished she made the crew a spaghetti dinner to celebrate. Today it rained so hard in the morning, I thought the basement could possibly have gotten some water in. I should not have worried as it is still as dry as a bone! We are very happy with our decision to use Everdry Waterproofing. The EZ breathe works well and the sump pump rarely turns on as the waterproofing keeps the water OUT! Thanks EverDry!"

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

External pressure on the basement wall can cause it to bow inward. Soil, heavy with water saturation, is commonly the main culprit. The soil exerts immense pressure on the wall, causing it to fail, at least partially. This is known as hydrostatic pressure—these situations can occur after rainfall or simply due to regular groundwater presence and may be temporary or more permanent.

Yes, water and water vapor can seep through cracks in your basement floor, which means you should address all basement floor cracks, even if they don’t indicate structural issues. Sealing settling cracks and shrinkage cracks is a good idea to keep water and moisture outside where it belongs. Doing so can improve your indoor air quality, reduce the risk of mold growth, make your home more comfortable, and help prevent pest infestation.

Installing storm windows can protect your home’s interior from heavy storms. Most storm windows are made with enamel-coated aluminum with screens and sliding glass panels. They also make your house more energy-efficient. The average storm window cost is $12,000, ranging between $4,250 and $19,850, depending on mounting, window types, glass types, and frame materials.

The best way to ensure the ground next to your home’s foundation drains properly is to divert water away from it as much as possible. While a flood wall can stop water from entering the house, gutters and spouts can help direct rainwater and melting snow away from the foundation. Keep your gutters as clear as possible from dead leaves and other yard debris so they can effectively divert water from your house. Add extenders to the spouts so the water runs out and away from your home, not into the surrounding soil.

Yes, these services often increase home value by preventing moisture-related issues and enhancing the usable space in basements or crawlspaces.
