"The Pro was outstanding No materials were necessary. The job took approximately 15 minutes. I am a disabled 73 year old Vet and my wife is 83. Everyone knows that people in our category are on fixed incomes. I was charged 395 for 15 minutes to replace 2 short facia sections. The price is predatory in my estimation. So seniors beware. I agreed to the price because I couldn't find anyone else and the job needed to be done for safety reasons. This is not an excuse to take advantage of the elderly."

"I wished my husband listened to me when I said these people were sketchy. There were three people in total, one called Mike, and the other two looked like they aren't sober. They were in our home an entire afternoon, but didn't get much done because they were mainly smoking and trying to figure out how to install the flooring. They broke our materials, stole materials and we had to pay them $250. The one time my husband called to ask for our stuff back, Mike hung up. Then I contacted him and he said he would return the money and materials. Then a week goes by, and still nothing. They are actually located in Clarion, but no company shows up when I search for them. This is not a legitimate company and are just taking money and materials."

Yes, you can negotiate the purchase price of new carpet. You may also be able to negotiate installation costs or other fees in addition to the per-foot pricing of the carpet itself. Laminate flooring, or any floating floor, should not be installed underneath cabinets because it expands and contracts, making the cabinets unstable.
