"Carlos helped repair the drywall, securely anchor the PAX closet to the wall, and install the baseboards and trim. I found him to be very knowledgeable and attentive to detail throughout his work. I’m really happy with the quality of his work and how the space turned out. I would definitely recommend him."

"Kirby Severson has done quite a few projects for me. He came through again on this project. I saw a dark spot on the post by my front door, and was unhappy to realize it was rot. Kirby replaced both posts and it looks better than before. He added trim that the builder had neglected to put on the bottom, and now the posts look more "finished". He is very conscientious and dependable. I wanted a plain and simple style of post so the materials were not too expensive and Kirby did the work quickly."

Treehouse Builders questions, answered by experts

The only real drawback to green building is that it’s more expensive up front, with per-square-foot prices sitting 33% higher than what you’d pay to build a traditional home. The higher cost is due to more expensive building materials and more labor to ensure every aspect of the home is as efficient as possible. However, green buildings often save money in the long run, so this is just a temporary downside.

Yes, with proper heating or cooling systems and energy-efficient glazing.

In most cases, you can attach a greenhouse to any type of house. However, certain factors need to be considered, such as the structural integrity of the house, available space, and local building regulations. You should consult with a professional contractor or architect to assess the feasibility and ensure proper construction methods.

When designing an attached greenhouse, several factors should be considered. These include the orientation and positioning of the greenhouse to maximize sunlight exposure, the structural integrity of the connection to the house, sufficient insulation to regulate temperature, proper ventilation for airflow, and adequate space for plants and pathways. If you’re restricted because of your budget, go with a simpler design to maximize the use of your money.

One handy thing about whole-house dehumidifiers is, once installed, you don’t have to worry about placement or changing the dehumidifier’s position. But if you are using a portable dehumidifier, we suggest keeping it away from walls, vents, and furniture. It needs a central, unobstructed spot with access to lots of air to do its job.
