"I was given reached out to by this company in regards to by my project. Upon explaining the job to Lisa, I was questioned about why I didn't want the cable company to do the electrical work (really none of their concern). After discussing everything through text, I was told the estimator would be at the home at 1. After waiting for 40 minutes for the estimator to arrive, I texted Lisa asking where he was and she informed me my appointment was at 2 instead of 1. When I sent her screenshots confirming that we previously agreed on 1 and apologized for the misunderstanding. While I indicated it wasn't a misunderstanding on my part she then offered a 10% off our estimate. (which I appreciated the attempt to make it right) After the estimator came, he quickly went through each room, wrote a few notes and wouldn't give me any pricing ideas of what it would cost when I asked. It felt very rushed compared to others that came out. Even when explaining what we would like done and that we were trying to get quotes from multiple companies for comparison so that we would be happy with the quality and price of who we choose, he was asking me questions that really didn't concern him. (I didn't feel that was too professional) The appointment was on Monday, it is now Friday and I have not received any estimate. I reached out to Lisa for an update and was then told that "he" decided to pass on my job. When asked what the reasoning was, I was told "He's too busy and can't squeeze you in anywhere for at least a month". This is sad when last week I asked about availability, the story I received was that they could fit us in before the 29th and would be tied up for 2 1/2 weeks. It was very concerning to me that they questioned me on jobs I would like to have done, why I was getting multiple quotes (or why I didn't get a quote from a handyman I used in the past, which I did and told him that), were late to the agreed upon time for the appointment for estimate and then failed to even communicate that they were going to pass on the job shows me that they are not the right company to do business with. I do not believe they were completely honest with me and I would not recommend for future jobs."

Rototilling questions, answered by experts

Fixing a depression in your lawn is a DIY for small dips, divots, or slight slopes. You can either remove sod and earth to lower the uneven ground or add premixed topsoil and reseed the lawn to raise it. You can also hire a yard grading company near you for professional help.

If you notice small bumps on your lawn, you can flatten them by gently treading them down when the ground is wet. A lawn with larger lumps may need to be regraded by a professional to flatten it out and improve the overall drainage of the yard to prevent future lumps from forming.

You should dig 3 to 6 inches deep for plastic edging. Dig as wide as you need to fit your plastic edging into it—2 inches is usually sufficient.

For minor unevenness, you don't necessarily need to remove grass before leveling. You can apply a topdressing mixture to fill in low areas and even out the surface. However, for more significant unevenness or deep depressions, it might be necessary to temporarily remove the grass to ensure proper leveling and soil compaction. After filling and leveling, you can replace the grass or consider reseeding the area.

Pros will assess your soil type, property geography, and rain patterns for optimal slope.
