From my first call until the guys left, Stoppleworth was a pleasure to work with. I will absolutely use them again for future plumbing needs. I originally scheduled the house call for between 8-9am, but called the day before to request that the guys arrive between 7:30-8am instead. The woman on the phone kindly agreed to they change with no hesitation, and the two guys Stoppleworth sent over arrived within that new time window. Both of the plumbers were professional, courteous, efficient, and effective ? it was refreshing to work with them. The plumbers who came to the house also didn't try to upsell me, which I appreciated. When I asked whether they would need to replace the valves or whether they could just repair them, they told me that fixing the valves would take 1/4 the time that replacing them would, which would save me approximately $75 in labor charges. The coupon Stoppleworth offers through Angie's List (good for $25 off services for Angie's List members) brought my total for the entire project (2 valves repaired, some copper pipe replaced outside the house, labor, and tax) to $80.00. Even without the coupon, though, the total would've been only $105, which was the least expensive price I could find out of the top-rated plumbers in my area. I wish I had been consulted more about the particulars of placing the exhaust and they could have been a bit cleaner. 8/10 would use again. Pros: They were responsive and punctual They provided the services I asked for at exactly the price they quoted An HVAC friend of mine took a quick look at their work and generally approved. Cons Take all this with a grain of salt. I am not a professional, and there may be good reasons for all that follows. I feel like the way they ran the gas line and the exhaust was not efficient. They ran the gas through a window and across the basement - they had little choice in this I think, as the alternative would have been to try to drill through about a foot of stone. I am not clear though why they didn't run the exhaust to the same window. Instead, they ran it across the basement again, under my porch and cut a hole through the wooden lattice of my porch. I feel this detracts from the aesthetic appeal of the property. They could have also run it to another window, already cracked, that was about 15 feet closer and would leave the exhaust venting at the back of the house instead of the front. Had they consulted me about what I wanted, this is what I would have suggested. They were not the cleanest of labor crews. They did not lay down any sort of drop cloth. My kitchen floor was in serious need of a mopping as was my refrigerator, which they needed to move. Unfortunately, they weren't very careful when they moved the fridge and my laminate floor was scratched. It is surely not the only or even the most noticeable scratch, but damaged it was none the less. My basement steps had more than a few drops of heating oil on them from the removal of the old equipment. They left behind some trash from their lunch break, including a beer bottle. I can't be certain that the beer bottle was theirs, as I also enjoy beer however, I don't remember ever putting a beer bottle in that particular corner of my basement.

This is my second experience with Amos but the first project has yet to be completed (window replacement) so I'll update my review after that, BUT - Brian Clampitt came and fixed a roof leak and took the time to find the leak. I've had two other people come out and not take the time to find...

Things have worked out. The cold doesn't help and neither does the snow when I'm sitting there wondering how I'm going to get out of my house. They did a good job. They were on time with a fair price. It is wall to wall window. I don't have heat out there, but they cut the draft down very...

We liked Armstrong because they were initially responsive and interested in doing "a new kind of work" for their company. They were small, personable and seemed to really want to make us happy. But in the end they got in over their heads and didn't seem to know how to actually carry out...

FAQs for window tinting projects in Montoursville, PA
It is possible to tint your house windows yourself, but hiring a professional window tinter is usually best. Window tint is relatively easy to apply, but getting a clean application that looks seamless is challenging. It’s easy to end up with a tint film that hangs over the edges of your glass or falls short of it, and without experience and the proper tools, you could end up with unsightly bubbles. Hiring a professional to tint your windows adds labor costs, but you’ll receive a high-quality tint appearance and not have to redo it.
The average cost to tint your home windows is around $600 or around $75 per window. However, it’s not uncommon for prices to range from $150 to $1,600. Your total project cost will depend on the amount and size of the windows. Window tinting can help make your home more energy efficient by blocking harsh sunlight, protect your furniture from fading, and create more privacy for your household.
Consider other essential cost factors, including the following:
Shade and quality of the tint
Type of tint
Labor cost of hiring window tinter
A 35% tint is the most popular for home windows. This level is significantly darker than the legal tint limit for car windows—usually around 70%. At 35% tint, more than half of the incoming light is blocked. This tint percentage still allows for plenty of natural light to fill your space while drastically improving your home’s energy efficiency and comfort in your living space. If you hire a professional to tint your windows, they usually bring screens to show you what different tints will look like to make it easier to choose what’s right for your home.
Most window installation and repair companies can handle putting tint film over your existing windows, but it’s best to hire a company that specializes in window tinting. This decision will result in the best application for the cleanest look, and it usually means you’ll get a better professional opinion about the type of tint and tint level that makes the most sense for your home and personal preferences.
Most homeowners find that hiring a professional window tinter to tint their house windows is well worth the investment, as there are several key benefits that home window tint offers. These include the following:
Reduced UV light, meaning less fading of furniture and flooring
Improved home energy efficiency, lowering electric bills
Improved privacy
More comfortable and even temperature in your living area
Reduces glare on screens on TVs and other electronics
