February 2020. Excellent work, great to work with, fair pricing. Highly recommend. We had Todd gut and fully redo our master bath. Ceramic tile floor, expanded tile shower, soaker tub area. Tile work meticulous, interesting use of tile angles. Cleaned up well every night. Stayed on the job all day every day. Installed cabinets, granite, electrical well. Modest charges on change orders. Did helpful items not originally bargained for. Tile kitchen floor replacement beautiful as well. Honest, great guy. Will be our go to contractor.

The night we signed the $28,000.00 contracted we asked him if we needed permits because we were new to PA. He informed us that we did not
He started with my kitchen floors first while we were in Florida over the thanksgiving holiday in 2009. When I got home my whole house was filled with dust. I had to wash curtains and walls because he hadn't sealed off the room before grinding out the grout.
He sent me an additional bill for 10 hours worth of cleaning at $900.
spaHe hired a "plumber" to do the job in the new bathroom and they had told me I was getting all new plumbing, Instead they hooked into a vent pipe and flooded my house with sewer water. When I contacted Mr McQuellion he wouldn't take my calls. I had to contact my insurance company to take care of the issue. But my cap on flooding was only $5,000.00 and my damage was beyond that. It took him more than a week to come out and see the damage. The plumber I hired discovered what Mr McQuellions plumber had done and called him to tell him that he never should have hooked into a vent pipe. We tried for 3 months to get him to com back out and fix the damage to my floors in my basement. According to law here in PA if sewer touched anything it must be destroyed. The resturation company ripped up my carpet. The new plumbers I hired to fix the bad pipping had ripped holes all over my house to address the issue. Within that week Mr McQuellion had the holes fixed but never did anything with the floor in the basement. It took us 3 months to get him out here to fix the floor. When we finally got him back we asked him to put hardwood down because I have asthma and cant do carpet and we offered to pay the difference of laying carpet vs hard wood. WE bought the hardwood from the money our insurance gave us. Out of 615 sq ft of flooring he laid about 295 sq ft and He came in and demanded that we pay him over $3,000.00 to lay the flooring...THAT HE DESTROYED!!! This man has a temper and when we refused he got nasty and started slamming doors. I had given him $160 to purchase the glue (which he has never cashed the check) I contacted an attorney and the attorney said not to pay him because he hadn't finsished the job he was suppose to do. I then started receiving harrassing phone calls threatening me with a lawsuit and telling me I owed him the money my insurance company paid me, that that was his money. He then did sue me for about $2,000.00. I then discovered we did need permits to do this job, I asked my attorney how we should handle this so we went to our township and told them the story. They made us hire an engineer to go over everything Mr McQuellion had done.During this process we found out that the 2 dormers he put into my house did NOT have enough support in them. The floors he redid in the kitchen, all the tiles started to crack because he never took the time to see why the grout was cracking. He would have been able to see that the floor joyces were to far apart. He never put a toliet seat on the toliet. My trim was not painted. He built a bench but left a plug in inside of the bench which is against code. We had to put holes in the walls so that an inspecter could look at the work. The engineer cost us about $8,000.00. We then had to hire another contractor to come redo the dormers. That cost us about $5,000.00. For 2 years we were in court with this man. He sued us for $2,000.00 for a floor he destroyed and we sued him for $35,000 for faulty and bad workmanship. We just settled this lawsuit Sept 2012 and we only received $17,500 from this man. To say the least his work is shoddy and his attitude is even worse. He refused to even apologize to us for all that he put us through. So no I would NOT recommend this man for anything.

It took one year to start work, added cost of $5,000 plus to original quote of $13,000.00. Installed really large windows in bedroom and bathroom stating they were required but talked to another contractor who said they weren't. Finishing work very poor. Sprung a leak after old toilet removed, told it would be taken care of. After floor installed, contractor told me to hire my own plumber. This as contractor was trying to hurry at last minute to finish the job. Leak caused painting to peel in kitchen below.
