The equipment involved in doing the job right was way beyond anything a "normal" homeowner could or would get their hands on. Diamond bladed concrete floor grinders alone are not something I typically go out and use on my free weekends. Anyway, it was a two day process that was very professionally carried out, and the finished product is amazing. Very happy with Stronghold floors and I would recommend using them if you thinking of upgrading your floors."

For both wood and concrete subfloors, consider sanding to remove any debris or adhesives remaining thoroughly. 

While you certainly can install new flooring yourself, it may not always be the best idea. Since the condition of the floors is a significant component of your property’s value, it’s important that your project looks professionally done. If not, you run the risk of needing to have them replaced again before selling your home.
