After the circuit breaker panel in our garage failed and caught on fire, I contacted Dave Pringle to assess the damage. He was able to start on the project the following day and kept me updated on the progress he made, explaining various codes and how the components worked in the system when I had questions. I found him to be very knowledgeable and friendly in all our conversations. Dave went above and beyond to ensure our house was once again safe and functioning as it was prior to the fire. For the quality of his work and reasonable prices he charged, I would not hesitate to recommend him for any electrical work you may have. Terrific! Mr. Pringle came right over and fixed the problem. He used shoe covers to protect our floor, very courteous and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend his service!

Dave Pringle came to my place and was very cordial and informative. It turned out that I had had a small contained fire inside one wall because my wiring had been reversed by the builder and could not take the load I had on it. I left my door unlocked while I was away and Pringle Electric went in, found the problem and fixed it. The cost was very reasonable. The electrician did not judge me for my less than picked up house and I was very grateful to be treated with such care. This is a very knowlegable, careful and conscientous company. They deserve the highest ratings. I would recommend him to anybody.

The lights in the front and back yard were not functioning. I called Pringle Electric early afternoon and Dave came out the same day. He immediately found the the problem (a flipped switch on an outside electrical outlet) and reset it. He explained why the switch flipped and what to do in the future. He was polite, courteous, a did not charge me for his time since the problem was so trivial. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Dave took the time to carefully and logically analyze the wiring in the house. After considerable time and effort, he arrived at the correct conclusion. A short while later he found and corrected the fault.
Dave saved me time and money. He was polite and professional in the process and the price was fair for the work that was done.

It only took a few minutes to disgnos and after getting a new part a half an hour to properly fix. Great job!
Response from Pringle Electric and Building Services

"I appreciate the good review, but I did have to diagnose the problem(1 trip), go find the nonstock parts stopping at over 3 places in the county (over 20miles and 1.5 hours) and then coming back and installing them and resetting the open and close settings. So I do feel I deserve the rate I asked for. Once again I do appreciate the work and good review. Sincerely, Dave Pringle"

He tried to find the source of the problem. I went with another company to do the job.

"I wish I could have moved the bid lower Member is a real nice guy and I have done work at his complex before and all went well. I hope that all went well with the job running a line out to the garage or finding the interuption in the wire going out there could require a nice bit of landscaping after trenching. Thank you Member for the review it is appreciated, David Pringle"

Job started ok. Then we ran into trouble.  Dave gave us the run around on when the job would be finished.  He consistently lied to us as to when he would be showing up to perform duties or wouldn't show up at all.  He went on vacation in the middle of the job.  He worked at another site that he said "paid him alot better" when he should have been completeing our job.  He bought inferior supplies or items we specifically asked for that he neglected to get.  The job could have easily been completed in less than 2 weeks and was streached out to over 6 weeks.  We fired Dave after we had to use space heater in our babys room on 2 cold nights 3 weeks after he said they all would be finished, not to mention all the times he didn't show up, and his lying to us.
We had to hire another electrician who came in on time and performed the duties neglected or unfinished by Dave.  He did the job in 9 hours in one day.  The new electrician laughed at some of the work performed by Dave and pointed out a few items that Dave did that were unsafe or not up to code.  I'm not going to get into the rest of the nonsence Dave tried to pull on us.  Lets just say we highly recommend AGAINST him.  Hire at your own peril.

"I don't need to say much more than Member tried to renegotiate the price after the work was done. He even lied on the approximate amount agreed upon it was much higher. it went to court and I (Pringle Electric) won the case. Court papers are public record and I will be asking for these lies to be removed. If this post is still up you can ask to see the court papers I will show them. Thank you Dave Pringle"

I contacted Pringle Electric on August 19.   He promptly returned my call and we set-up an appointment for a consultation on August 22.  When he arrived on the 22nd, he took the time to thoroughly explain what work would be required to accomplish what I wanted and was not the least bit irritated by questions.  His estimate of $200 for the job seemd a high.  In hindsight, given that I'm new to the area and have never hired an electrician, it may have been in my best interest to do some comparison shopping to get a beter sense of pricing.  However, as he was willing to perform the work that day, I agreed to hired him at his estimate.  While installing my electrical line, he also gave me an evaluation of my home's overall electrical system, identified some problem areas that my home inspectors had overlooked (along with telling me how I, myself, could fix these problems); he even hooked up my washer and dryer for me.

In addition to the electrical line, he also repared a broken lamp for us.  Once again, his charge for repair was a bit high ($40), but given the cost of the lamp, his charges seemed resonable at the time.Overall, he does great work.  I think he's a bit on the expensive side, but this may just be my ignorance of what electricians charge.

"I had to use wiremold to get the wire down the wall and protect it from damage to prevent a short or fire. The choices were wire mold or conduit and conduit although it is cheap it looks industrial and this is my customers house not a work work shop. So I used the more expensive wiremold. The lamp I made 2 trips to fix it, 1 to the shop to order the switch 2 to return it the customer, and thats gas and time."

He responded promptly to our request for services and performed the services himself instead of sending someone else.  He had a difficult job fishing smoke alarm wire through partitions and later had to get the ceiling lights installed just right for my wife.  On one occasion he had to locate and correct a prior electrician's mistake in order to finish his job.  All of his work for me was performed in a timely manner and things worked perfectly when he was finished.  He was courteous and careful about his work.

The first time, he was to be here around 5 PM, but didn't show up until 7:40 PM.  The following day, he came at 11:40 AM; he said he would return on Wednesday before noon, which he did. The lamp needed a new socket.  I thought that $70 was high with the other $10 being for parts.
Response from Pringle Electric and Building Services

"On the time issue I said sometime after 5 because I had to put in my hours promised and finish the job I was on and I told the member that. I made 2 trips there out of my way to fix the lamp 1 to test it since it was after business hours and 2 to get the parts and fix it. I know the price seems high but they agreed to it. You can't get another electrician, Educated, Experienced, Insured, and trustworthy in your house at my price."

It went very well! Mr. Pringle was very organized and arranged to do the work so I would still have the electricity in the house except for the one brief time the meter had to be changed. He called the electric company to come do an inspection and all the work passed with flying colors. He was very nice and always left the house very neat. He is a very pleasant, polite young man and I will definitely call him again if I need any electrical work done. The final bill was less than the original estimate. I liked the fact that he owned his own business and did the work himself. His address is: Pringle Electrical Services, 394 South Main St., Pleasant Gap, PA. 16823 Ph. # (814) 574-2701

Mr. Pringle is a courteous and friendly professional who was recommended to me by my sister and her husband. I have been doing a kitchen remodel mostly myself and needed some help with the electrical. He is honest, helpful and treated me as an equal and not as a "girl". I have a very sensitive bs meter and little tolerance for men in trade who belittle or patronize my efforts as a woman and beginner experience. I felt none of that at all coming from him. He was friendly, genuine and did quality work for a reasonable price without any bs. I highly recommend him.

The service was prompt, very polite, and priced right. I would definitely use this company again. Pringle Electric found the issue and helped me resolve it right away (we had to call Allegheny Power for some work on their end). I will definitely call Pringle back for any future needs.

I found out about Pringle Electric through a friend who was really pleased with the work he had done for them. They said he did great work at a very reasonable price and they were right. I feel like I really got a deal for the time and quality of work that was done. My project went well, he really knew what he was doing and worked through the mess that was left for him. He also gave me some ideas that really helped me with the lighting and the overall aesthetics of the project. He worked well and communicated well with the contractor who was doing the construction. I was really worried that we would have hold ups in the construction due to some of the code issues that he had to fix from the original 1950's work. He went above and beyond to fix these issues even if it meant staying until 8 p.m. a couple of nights to make sure the work got done.
