There was paint splatter on my floor that no one felt the need to clean up. There was a spot on my floor that was supposed to be fixed under the carpeting. It was never fixed and I paid out of pocket to have that carpeting replaced and that floor fixed. the padding was never replaced under that section of carpet either and I paid for that too!! When I brought it up to the owner, I receive no response. I have called and left voicemails, my wife has called and left voicemails. I even contacted the restoration company who hired these goons, and they are just passing us off to the owner like it's all his fault. NO you hired an incompetent contractor. He has been to small claims court before, he may be going there again if this issue isn't resolved."

Almost any kind of home can have a wine cellar or cabinet installed. You’ll need an area where a concrete floor can be put in, along with the necessary insulation, climate control, and ventilation systems. If you think of yourself as an aspiring sommelier, an underground wine cellar may be ideal, but it will cost significantly more. 

What you choose to install really depends on your budget and how many bottles you’re looking to store.

Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Above the gravel, you’ll often find coarse sand that helps reduce paver shifting over time. Some permeable paver designs include a water collection system set into the gravel layer to route runoff to a safe area for disposal.

Professionals who complete perc tests can usually do them in a single day. Including excavating to expose the test site, filling the hole with water, and monitoring it while it drains, you can expect the test to take between four and eight hours total. It’s possible that you’ll get the results the same day, but some companies may take a few days to get official results.

Most residential basements are 8 to 10 feet deep. You can dig deeper depending on building codes, but it does become more difficult. If you’re digging a deep trench or one that’s over 100 feet, consider renting a mechanical trencher, such as a walk-behind or ride-on, or calling a pro for help.
