Eastern Surfaces has been fabricating fine custom countertops in granite, marble, quartz and solid surface products for both residential and commercial use for well over 20 years. Employing approximately 100 skilled, trained, and background checked professionals, Eastern Surfaces can fulfill any/all of your countertop needs.

"Do not hire this company and Lowe’s should stop using them as a subcontractor. They do not care about jobs done through Lowe’s despite them being just as expensive. Got very expensive quartz countertops. They showed up last minute 4pm in a 12-4 window and rushed the project to finish it in just 45 minutes. There were several damages to the quartz and it looked awful. The guy pulled a bait and switch and said he could come back the next day. When I called I was told they don’t know why he said that and “have no idea where he is, he’s busy” and that I’ll have to take it up with Lowe’s. I certainly am taking it up with Lowe’s but the company that did the job and received the money should have a little more pride in their work. If you do go through Lowe’s in PA, tell them you don’t want Eastern Surfaces."

Pool remodel costs are pricey, so you want to make sure you do it right. The best pool tile for you is one that looks great and fits your budget. If you have your heart set on a particular tile but can’t afford to tile your whole pool in that style, consider tiling only a small area or portion of your pool with specialty tile.

The process takes two to four days, depending on the size of the area and your experience level. The first day involves assessing and prepping the existing tile, while the second day is for laying the new tile. This may take longer in complex areas. After letting the adhesive dry for 24 hours, grouting and sealing can be completed on day three. For larger projects or intricate tile patterns, expect the timeline to stretch a bit longer. Also, proper drying time between steps is essential for long-lasting results, which extends the project’s time.

If you’re out of spacers for your tile installation, you can use pennies. Each time you place a tile, stick the pennies around the edges (on the sides and the corners). Like working with spacers, you’ll want the same amount of space around each tile before they set.

You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. Tile will almost always last longer than laminate flooring, regardless of the type of tile installed. Porcelain tile can last for 75 years or more with proper care, and even less durable ceramic tile will last for 60 years or more, provided they’re installed by a tile professional. On the other hand, laminate flooring has an average lifespan of around 20 years, and you might only get 10 to 15 years out of low-cost laminate flooring. As such, tile will add far more value to your home than laminate.
