A good way to prevent pest infestation in your crawl space is to install a vapor barrier—called crawl space encapsulation—on the interior to seal the space, along with a French drain or some other kind of foundation drainage system outside to keep runoff out of your crawl space. Look for goose repellents that contain the ingredient methyl anthranilate. This is a natural chemical found in grape juice. In human food, it’s often used as grape flavoring. With geese, it’s highly irritating. Grape Kool-Aid contains methyl anthranilate, the active ingredient in most bird repellents. It won’t harm geese, but it will deter them.

Professional pest control works faster than any DIY method, so it’s the way to go if you want your pest problem gone ASAP. A basic treatment can take place in under six hours, while larger fumigations may take up to a week. You should start noticing a significant reduction in pests within a couple of days, with full results in about a week on average.
