"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

"The crew from John's Hardwood Floors were very professional. They showed up on time and finished on time. Everyone was very respectful of the property and the job was completed for the price originally quoted. I had just under 1000 square feet of Chickasaw Oak flooring restored that was originally installed in 1960. John and his crew took care of every detail and were available at all times for any questions that we had during the process. Outstanding job at a competitive price point."

"I purchased all the necessary materials myself. All they had to do was install. I was charged $75 $68 with the 5% off coupon) for less than 1/2 hours worth of work. That translates to $150 an hour ($142.5o with a 5% discount). I like PPHI, but that price for a simple install (which I could have done myself or had my neighbor do for free), I feel is very overpriced."

"They were very kind, compassionate, and professional. After making my request to Home Advisor I was immediately contacted. They were very informative in their message as well as the intial phone conversation, who they were and what they could and could not do was explained to me what their company and who they were was explained to me so I knew what to expect for when they were coming and I was not caught off guard by any hidden fees and extra cost or random money making schemes, they took their time to do everything properly and I did not feel as if things were being rushed through they explained everything they were doing so as I can understand exactly what was going on and know why and how to prevent having the same issues in the future also what my money was actually being spent on. They job they did was very thorough and efficient. They were also the most reasonably priced and worked with me to do what was the most effective with my budget. They did exactly what they said they were going to do plus more and I would give them 10 stars if I could. I will definitely be recommending them to others as they were concerned for me as a person and doing a proper job and not just to make money. I am very pleased with my choice of Sani Tech Environmental NE because finding a company like this is hard to come across nowadays, but I am glad I was fortunate to find them. 😊"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet is an effective natural insulator, so it will make a room slightly warmer than laminate. The material’s insulating properties also make carpeted rooms more efficient for temperature regulation.

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.

The rule of three for flooring means that you should have a maximum of three flooring types throughout your home, such as hardwood in your bedroom and living room and tile in your kitchen and bathroom. The rule brings cohesion to your home and creates a seamless look. By using the same material, you also save money on future repairs.

Carpeting has a few benefits on stairs in addition to being a cost-effective floor covering. It absorbs sound, dampening footsteps. It also provides additional traction, which is especially important if you install linoleum floors, epoxy flooring, or any other floor covering that can become slippery if you’re wearing socks. Therefore, carpets can help prevent slips.

A laminate floor will lift if it hasn’t been installed with the proper expansion gaps around the room’s perimeter. Laminate flooring naturally expands and contracts when indoor temperatures fluctuate, and without adequate room for expansion, the planks can lift off the subfloor. To avoid this, ensure your flooring installer knows to leave the proper expansion gaps.
