"Called around to 3-4 other carpet cleaning services. Best offer by far and did a great job. Father / Son team were terrific! Very responsive. Very flexible. Good value for the money and seemed very experienced in what they do. Came right to the home on time and finished cleaning 6 oriental rugs promptly. Left the house very clean. Very respectful and nice people! (I know - lots of very's here - but they deserve it!) Highly recommend them."

Couch Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

A HEPA filter is a powerful tool for clean air, but the structure doesn’t allow much air to pass through it. That means your HVAC motor must work harder to keep your air pressure consistent, which can result in higher energy bills. That, coupled with the higher cost of HEPA filters, may not make them the best choice for your HVAC system.

For washable or electrostatic air conditioner filters, you can soak and rinse them with water. If you rinse the filter with water, make sure to use a faucet, shower head, or garden hose with a gentle water pressure setting, as strong water pressure could damage the filter.

But for disposable filters, water could ruin the filter, even allowing mold to grow in the filter. Instead, these filters should be replaced.

You should plan to change your AC unit's filter every one to three months, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations. You should also clean the coils at least once per year, but if you have pets or someone in your household has allergies, you might need to clean them more often. Fortunately, many pros will clean the coils and change the filter for you during an inspection, which you should schedule once or twice per year.

Yes, you can clean your air conditioner filter as a temporary fix for cleaning up dirt, but you’ll eventually need to replace it once the dust starts to accumulate. Use a vacuum with a hose attachment to clean your air filter at least once per year or more often if you have pets.

Simple filter changes can be done DIY, but professionals should handle motor repairs, sensor issues, and airflow problems.
