"Very satisfied with the final results of applying epoxy and colored chips to my 40 year old concrete garage floor. Enjoyed working with the owner and his team. Didn't expect perfection, but they did their best to deliver a vast improvement to the look and stability of the existing, but moderately damaged wear surface. Recommend hiring them to others. "It went really well. I needed two large rooms done (removing carpet and installing laminate floors I had already purchased). I had put in a request on Angie’s for a quote and I received a call right away. Mario was able to come over the same day and give me an estimate. It was almost half of what I had received from other floor install companies. They were able to schedule me in right away. And the job was done in one day. The floors look great! No complains."

"The representatives were excellent...friendly, worked with us to get what we wanted at a reasonable cost. The workers did a fantastic job and worked nonstop all day. The owner dropped by numerous times to check on the progress. Everyone involved were so easy to deal with and very professional. We couldn’t have asked for a better company to deal with. The quality of the work was outstanding. Our home looks brand new!!"

"Steve is great! I’m a new homeowner and am honestly overwhelmed with all of the decisions I have to make. Steve offered design advice and knew the product lines thoroughly so I was able to make the best decision. We did shop around but the experience wasn’t the same - Steve provides an unmatched, high level of customer service and you can tell he really cares about his work. The floors look beautiful and they were done the next day! Awesome personality, my family and I felt like we’ve known him for years! No complaints about his team. Everyone was professional, helpful, and timely. Highly recommend and we will be using Steve for all future flooring projects!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Always seal concrete stain to protect against wear and preserve the color. This applies to acid- and water-based stains but not always to concrete paint. Many paints designed for outdoor use contain ingredients designed to protect and waterproof without the need for additional sealant. Fortunately, learning how to seal concrete is something most DIY-savvy homeowners can tackle.

You can paint concrete with paint rollers. In fact, using paint rollers is considered one of the easiest ways to evenly apply paint on concrete. A paint roller with a 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick nap—which is basically a fabric paint roller cover—is best for painting concrete. The thicker the nap, the more paint it can hold to fill those pesky concrete cracks and crevices.

Unlike staining concrete, painting concrete often results in chips and peeling over time. You can expect numerous touchups over the years if the concrete is in a high-traffic area. Since concrete paints are opaque, you may also find it more difficult to get the exact color results you want. Lastly, painting concrete can make it much more slippery unless you mix in an additive for traction.

To prep a floor for painting, start by sweeping and cleaning any loose debris that could puncture the protective material. Take out as much furniture as possible. Then lay plastic, canvas, rosin paper, or masonite sheets across the room, securing them at the edges with masking tape. Plan your painting so that you minimize the chances you’ll step in and track any splatters.

To maintain concrete floors, clean them regularly with a damp mop and avoid using abrasive cleaning agents that can damage the finish. Reseal the concrete every 2-3 years to protect the surface and enhance its appearance.
