"I had a hot tub that has been sitting on my deck for years and was out of use. I was looking for a pro to disassemble and haul the tub away. I made contact with Jeremy of J4 Outdoors. Jeremy is a consumate pro. We agreed on a time and price He showed up on time . Did a fabulous job with his crew. He was honest and very fair in pricing. I had to pay him more than he quoted because he went above and beyond and I was super impressed.Jeremy is a genuinely nice guy.Cracked me up with jokes.Very friendly.Cleaned up after they were done.I think J4 deserves 10 stars. Keep up the good work ,Jeremy and crew. Highly endorse these guys!! I will hire them again when need arises.Consumate pros!! Happy customer. Many thanks for being excellent pros!!"

"I needed a lot of yard trash removed before my property was sold. They came out, worked hard, and did everything I asked. The new owners "found" more trash, and they went back out and removed that too. They're polite and stick to their estimates. Highly recommended!"

Small jobs welcome

"In addition to being an all around good guy, Walter was great to work with! He has a lot of experience working in construction and it shows in the final product. We are extremely happy with our new lodge-style permanent deck roof, and will definitely be giving Walter a call again for future projects. He always kept in touch and communicated consistently throughout the duration of the construction, and saw it through to the end despite the challenges. Highly recommend!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

A spark arrestor is not the same as a chimney cap. Both sit on the top of the chimney. However, the cap keeps debris from entering the chimney, and the spark arrestor’s primary function is to prevent burning embers from escaping. Some spark arrestors are integrated into the chimney cap, and others are installed separately.

Yes, a water leak poses a major fire risk at your home because water is a conductor of electricity. Water that comes into contact with sparks or electrical wires can instantly ignite flammable materials. Additionally, any type of exposure to water can cause wires and other electrical components within your home to corrode. When assessing categories of water damage, it's important to know that even a small amount of moisture near wiring could cause sparks that lead to a fire.

Yes, a faulty or broken light switch can be a serious fire hazard. Malfunctioning switches often result from loose wiring, exposed connections, or other electrical problems that can cause overheating or sparking. Warning signs include crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when you flip the switch, which indicates live electricity that could ignite nearby flammable materials. If you suspect your light switch is faulty, immediately turn off the power at the circuit breaker and contact a qualified electrician to remedy the issue.

A grease fire starts if hot cooking oil comes into contact with a heat source, such as an electric heating element or the flame on a gas range. Once the grease is ignited, it can be very difficult to put out.

The short answer is yes, but the longer answer is more complex. Unless the fireplace is ventless by design, you’ll need some type of exhaust pipe system to safely send fumes and other harmful byproducts out of the house. Even then, ventless fireplaces are not always permitted because they do keep the byproducts inside of your house. Ventless fireplaces are safest when installed in spaces that are themselves well-ventilated, like large rooms with lots of windows.
