They all three were very polite and professional. Mike explained everything they were doing and answered all of my questions. They worked really hard installing supports and sistering joists as well as putting down a vapor barrier. Mike stayed in the house and made sure things were going back to level while Chris and Brady made adjustments underneath the house. they cleaned up when they were done, and they cleaned up their workspace so well that you couldn't tell they were even there. We also have peace of mind knowing that we have a service plan with them so that if something goes wrong, AFS will be there for us. Definitely check AFS out for all of your foundation needs. "I own an 90-year old historic colonial high school turned into a bed & breakfast. The windows were neglected over the past 20-30 years and in serious demand of work. Modern day window contractors were not going to understand this job. It's very difficult to find a contractor that will come through on a promise and has the skill to do as they boast. The day that Grady stepped into my 90 year-old home that needed historic window restoration, he became a part of the house. He knew exactly what had to be done. More importantly, he understood my expectations. These windows needed special attention. There was a level of detail required that not any expert would be able to handle. Grady took the time to learn their needs and stayed on the job until it was to my satisfaction. He even reworked an entire window just because I didn't like the way that it looked. Grady truly showed expertise with his ability to work on such a delicate job and even taught me a few things about historic window repair. He replaced broken antique glass with one just as aged and just as historic. If a window had to be completely rebuilt beyond his solid estimate, he did it without any complications to my budget. My windows are not only restored, but they are literally brought back from the past. Any enthusiast will appreciate the lint-seed oil, putty, and antique glass that was all restored to perfection. It was a pleasure having Grady work with us. He even stayed in the house at times to make sure he was available for the job. "We used Merryfield for this siding project, which was part of a kitchen remodel.  Our contractor did not specialize in siding and asked that we have the work performed by someone else.  We needed siding installed where a window was being eliminated to make room for additional cabinets.  The process was easy for this project, from estimate to completion.  They worked within the requests of our kitchen contractor and the work was done quickly.  The siding on our house is old and not readily available.  Merryfield was able to source the replacement siding even after we were told by another company that this was not possible.
