Conversely, a mobile/trailer home is built to a much less stringent building code and set on blocks. While 'mobile' homes may be built for less than $100,000, the homes built to the universal building code, both site built and modular, start at $300,000 excluding the lot. Those seeking to build the traditional home styles should qualify for financing to cover those costs.
