"Larry came out and did an analysis of our exterior drainage system, as we were having some puddling issues in the front and rear of our yard. We had just moved into the home a few months prior and Larry also did an analysis of our basement as we were having some concerns about the slightly bowed wall in our basement. Larry was very thorough and took a lot of time to go through the details of the exterior french drainage system he would install. He responded back to us in a timely manner and was extremely reasonable with their quote compared to other bids we had received from other contractors.
Larry and his team came out to the house and made quick work of a tedious job.  They took good care to keep the job-site as tidy as possible. Although Larry changed from the original plan, we felt comfortable with this as he was very thorough when explaining the reasons behind the change and we felt he had our best interest at heart. If we had any questions Larry was always available to answer them for us even when we called at 9pm.
We had a walkway that they had to cut through in order to run the piping for the drainage and Larry even added concrete to fix the walkway even though it wasn't in our original proposal.
We feel like with the work that was completed we got an excellent price and we have the peace of mind knowing that the job was done properly.

12/20/2023 - Please Note I am very blessed to say things have been very busy for me the past few months starting out on my own and I apologize for any late response or double messages sent by accident or not being able to book as soon as i would like to be able to. I will have a full office staff soon but until then, I rather keep my perfect rating by going slow and not make any mistakes or rushed appointments that I know I can't make and waste your time waiting for me. also, if you are outside of my service area and would like my free HONEST opinion on an estimate that was left for you via phone call don't hesitate to reach out a few basic questions I can let you know if something sounds off. 610-840-7088 \n\nMy name is Chris and I am the owner of Clark Chimney and Masonry. At Clark Chimney and Masonry, we are dedicated to providing top-quality services that you can trust.\n

"They provided a free estimate which was substantially lower than the other three estimates I had been given. Because the concrete repair spanned my and my neighbor's property, they worked out a good deal for us to do both properties at a very reasonable cost. Four guys came out around 8am and everything done by noon. Fast, excellent work, concrete looks beautiful. Very fast, efficient, and fair - would highly recommend."

"The whole job went very smooth. Jack was very professional. He took measurements and explained what had to be done. I was given a date when the job was to start and how long this job would take. Jack of trades arrived early that morning and started demolition of the old concrete. They removed the old concrete, swept, and taped off the area. Thursday, Jack of Trades arrived early to start mixing and pouring concrete. They smooth and divided the concrete, than taped off that area. The next day Jack Joyce arrived to check the work and give minor instructions on the upkeep. He also left a telephone for me to contact him I had any questions about the done by his company.

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. Consult a foundation repair pro to determine the best way to lift your sinking foundation.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Mudjacking is usually reserved for light-duty slabs, like patios, driveways, and sidewalks. However, it can be an effective way to lift garage slabs and concrete around the perimeter of the home, which could harm your foundation if it’s not done properly. The risk of damage is why having a professional mudjacking company carry out the work is important. This type of slab or foundation repair is relatively inexpensive, especially if you consider that a DIY job requires that you pay to rent the necessary equipment.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
