"The guys at JML Pest Control are extremely knowledgeable about extermination yet very approachable. A thorough inspection and spraying of the first two levels of my home as well as the outside was completed, with an explanation of problem areas and ways to reduce the chance of infestation. Will definitely hire again."

"Jessica responded very quickly to a wasp nest that attacked my son and myself. I’m so thankful she was able to safely treat the nest next to my pond without harming any of my fish. She was very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I will be keeping her for future services including preventative care !"

"They were prompt in returning my call, friendly and very accommodating in making the appointment to come to the house. An appointment was made for within two days of the telephone call. Ed checked the attics and agreed we had mice. He gave us options on how to get rid of them and we decided to have him put the bait in the attics. We haven't heard any scratching or noises in the attic for at least a week or longer. I would use them again in a heart beat.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Some birds of prey, like owls, hunt at night. Hawks are diurnal and need good light to see their prey. You could see them circling anytime from dawn to dusk. Species like the common red-tailed hawk are most active in the early morning and late evening when their prey is also typically on the go.

Yes, it’s possible for bats in your attic to find a way into your living spaces. Until you can properly remove the bats, the best course of action is to keep the attic doors closed and any holes sealed. Evidence suggests bats follow the airflow in your home, so they may try escaping from the attic to other parts of the house.

Cockroaches, ants, flies, bed bugs, and termites are common in business environments.

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.

DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.

Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.
