"Bad Experience. Bait and Switched us. Told us the no more than cost of our removal verbally and then said he needed $4k to do the design with us and get final firm contract after that. I told him I was skeptical giving him $4k and then have him come back with contract stating it would cost a big percent more. He assured me “he is not that kind of guy”. Then after the design and a smaller scope he wanted to charge us 30% more. Took our money and we now have to start over with a new contractor."

"Toby Perfetto is the owner of Carpentry USA, LLC located in Doylestown, PA (215-340-0365) and acts as a general contractor. I have had three major ($20,000 - $100,000) projects done to my house by Toby since 2017 including a large scale exterior stucco replacement, family room remodel (caused by a roof leak that Toby repaired), and kitchen remodel. The kitchen remodel is the most recent (fall 2019) and subject of this review. In my opinion Toby’s strengths include a deep understanding of home construction from over a decade of home construction, repair and remodeling. He is a highly capable business man able to plan, schedule, supervise and, on occasion, perform, home projects. His greatest strength is the quality of the work done under his supervision. He only hires highly skilled workmen/women and provides them with clear instructions and supervision. His interaction with me is completely professional and he consistently meets his cost estimates even on difficult jobs. I consider him completely honest and trustworthy and would not hesitate to hire him again. I am fully satisfied with the kitchen remodel that included refurbishment of cabinets, installing tile through the kitchen and adjacent utility room including backsplash, replacement of lighting and painting.
