"Very nice guy to deal with!  Was on time, came with another worker and explained exactly what they use on the window surfaces and the fees involved.  Both myself and my husband thought the windows looked great and we scheduled a future cleaning.  I see he offers additional services, so I will be scheduling an auto detail and gutter and garage door cleaning.

"needed help with network security cameras in my home.  Mr. Jim did not have experience with them but he was more than willing to try.  He was very responsive and determined to fix the problem.  He was not going to charge me if he couldn't help me.  He did exactly what he promised and completed this project with a great attitude!  I highly recommend him and will definitely utilize his help in the future."

"Nate did an awesome job of home repairs including one door that had a broken hole which he patched and painted, now looks new! A section of drywall which had lumps in it that Nate said was termite damage. He removed and replaced the section which did have termite damage and also a huge amount of living small ants and eggs. He got matching paint and painted the entire wall. Another drywall hole in my computer room which he patched and painted. My skylights were leaking and Nate repaired and cleaned all of them, the day was so hot but it didn't slow him down. My concrete driveway was dirty and had cracks. He pressure washed it and put caulking in all the cracks. Nate is so excellent at determining how to make damaged areas look like new or a driveway look its very best without having to replace the entire concrete . I can't say just how much I appreciate his good pricing, always on time, always cleaning up worked spaces, ability to determine how to fix things, his honesty and integrity. I recommend him highly and have other things that he will help me with. Thank you, Nate!!!"

"Gino @ Redline did several repair and upkeep jobs for us, including installing a new kitchen faucet, replacing the ballcock in the toilet tank, installing a new door knob, among other help. He was professional, reliable, courteous, got the jobs done. He even went above and beyond when we had issues with a fridge install (different company): he came back free of charge to help us move our heavy kitchen island to make space for moving the fridge. We offered a tip, but he declined that, too. To top it off, he told us to call him when it's time to move the island back. I highly recommend him."

"The painter/plaster repair took place over a period of 9 months during the off-hours of the provider. The repair work has not withstood the test of time and cracks have reappeared. This may not be indicative of the company's general work and the service provider is no longer employed by this company.

"Logan from Hyland Window Restorations has been awesome to work with. He has done a fantastic job making my period specific windows fully functional again. If you have old style windows that you would prefer to keep rather than replace with Vinyl windows it can be done and I would highly recommend Hyland for the job."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

There are different types of screen materials available when purchasing a screen door, but the two main options are fiberglass and aluminum. Fiberglass is lightweight and affordable, but can stretch out, so it needs to be replaced more often. Aluminum has a higher upfront cost, but is more sturdy. Aluminum can be more difficult to install, even if you know how to replace screen door mesh.

Options include fiberglass, aluminum, and pet-resistant screens to suit different needs.

Among the various entry points into your residence, it's crucial to recognize that your basement windows are arguably the most susceptible. Basements usually have windows facing the side and back yards, often concealed from driveway floodlights, porch lighting, and doorbell cameras. Their vulnerability underscores the importance of reinforcing basement window security to safeguard your home from break-ins.

Most windows last for 15 to 30 years, depending on the frame material and the glass quality, but most will require repairs during that time. Windows gradually lose efficiency, so it’s usually best to have a window repair technician inspect and service your windows every five to 10 years. You should also repair your windows if you experience the following:

  • Leaks

  • Drafts

  • Difficulty opening or closing

  • Sudden increases in heating and cooling bills

  • Outdoor noise becomes more audible

  • Signs of physical damage

Ensures proper fit and function, maximizing insect protection and airflow.
