"My husband & I have known John Watson since 2022. In 2022, he performed extensive painting of our entire master bedroom suite including walls, all trim & doors. He also totally repainted bathroom vanities in our master bath & hall bath. This was a large, intricate project because all doors had to be removed. John did a superior job on the vanities. He is an amazing painter & a perfectionist. He treats your home as if it was his very own. Everything turned out so beautiful. In 2023, he returned to paint the walls, all trim & doors in a very large kitchen & laundry room. He also painted our deck. In Fall of 2023, when we purchased a new home, we were in immediate need of our entire house to be repainted. It was a huge project, all walls, trim, doors, & closets, even the garage. John took the project without hesitation & performed his painting in his usual style, perfectly! He also began the project immediately since we had just moved in & desperately needed the work done ASAP. He is also an expert in drywall repair & any other repairs needed during the painting process. He is extremely intelligent & knowledgeable in painting and many other home projects which is a real asset to us in selecting a painting contractor. He is always very neat, polite & considerate. They removed approximately 650 square feet tile from our floors. They also moved washer, dryer and removed toilet/faucet to do underneath. My husband and I am very satisfied with the job they have done and we def recommend Pineda to anybody in need of floor work. We would probably hire them again for our upstairs floors."

When you’re considering hiring a painter, a quote should include the following items:

You may need to provide your own paint, depending on the agreement you make with the painter. Some painters prefer that you buy the paint and they supply the labor. However, some professional painters get a better price on paint and can pass that savings along to you even after accounting for labor costs.
The average cost to paint a ceiling ranges from $3 to $8.50 per square foot, which is about $1 to $2.50 more per square foot than the cost to paint the walls. Rooms with high ceilings require working from a ladder or scaffolding and often include trim or detail work, which adds to the final price.
Professional painters charge $20 to $50 per hour, on average. Hourly rate cost factors include the complexity of the paint job, the type of paint, the height of the walls and ceiling, and the type of prep and repairs needed. For example, removing wallpaper costs an additional $3 per square foot because it can be very time consuming and labor intensive. Your location will also impact the hour rate.
