"While the quality of their work was very good, someone needs to screen the contractors for fair business practices. My "pro" forgot to mention that when I paid my bill with my debit card, there was a 3.75% surcharge for the "convenience." Cost me over $50 and when I brought it up all they had to say was "whoops, sorry." Also, I was being charged by the hour. I ended up paying 2 guys at $75/hour to stop by and pick up a few things at the store! $150 for picking up a few supplies?! Had I known, I would have gone and bought the stuff myself!"

You can often fix an air bubble by cutting a tiny hole in the bubble with a very sharp knife, using a glue syringe to inject some adhesive behind the bubbled portion of paper, and then using a wallpaper smoothing tool to push the bubble back onto the wall's surface.

It’s best to remove wallpaper rather than paint over it. You should only paint over wallpaper if removing it would damage the wall, the surface is relatively smooth, or there are minimal problem areas—such as slight peeling and lifted seams—that you can fix easily. Unless you like bubbling paint and peeling wallpaper as an interior design choice, it’s better to remove at least one existing layer before adding any more to a wall.

You can paint over wallpaper if it’s smooth and in good shape. But if there are bumps or tears in the wallpaper, they’ll likely show through the paint. Similarly, you should avoid painting over textured wallpaper because the ridges and patterns in the paper will be visible. In either of these situations, you should remove the wallpaper before painting.

How long peel-and-stick wallpaper lasts depends on a few factors, including the conditions in the room, the quality of the wallpaper, and the wallpaper's application. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but you may decide to remove it sooner. Under ideal conditions, it can also last for much longer.

Factors that may shorten the lifespan of peel-and-stick wallpaper include high humidity in a room (such as a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper.
