"The C.R.E.W. was extremely professional. They were on time every day. They were helpful & answered all of my questions. They were very nice. Mr. Buckley gave great advice on the best way to go about doing the job. He was very helpful in working with me to finish the basement. He was very informative about the advantages & disadvantages about doing certain things. They did a great job, my basement looks great. When there was a problem with the paint I had chosen, Mr. Buckley had someone out to my house by the end of the week to have it repainted. They did a great job."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

An easy way to know whether your sand filter has enough sand is to check how full the filter is and what the sand looks and feels like. The filter container should be two-thirds to three-quarters full of sand. Look for interior marks indicating the ideal sand level. If you put your hand into the sand, it should flow through your fingers without clumping. The filter pressure gauge is also an easy indicator—the right amount of sand leads to normal pressure, while too much or too little sand can cause high or low pressure.

Above-ground pools offer affordability, easier installation, portability, and flexibility in placement compared to permanent in-ground pools.

The only pools that don’t need grounding are those without electrical components, such as small inflatable pools. Any outlet around a pool should be a GFCI to cut the current if the outlet gets too wet. At the very least, the pool’s electrical should be plugged into a GFCI outlet, if not a dedicated GFCI breaker. Check local guidelines and requirements to ensure you’re following all safety regulations.

Detecting a leak in your pool costs about $300 on average. The price ranges widely from low $100 up to $1,000. Here are the costs involved in leak detection services for your pool:

  • Pool inspection: $125–$250

  • Above ground pool leak detection: $100–$700

  • Inground pool leak detection: $400–1,000

  • Vinyl liner repair: $350–$3,600

  • Fiberglass lining repair: $300–$400

  • Concrete liner repair: $75 per linear foot

  • Pressure test pool lines: $200–$500

  • Skimmer repair: $100–$250

  • Main drain repair: $400–$700

  • Pump repair: $50–$300

  • Tile repair: $20-$30 per linear foot

Generally speaking, most municipalities require you to get a permit when you build a pool. Whether or not you need a permit to install a plunge pool will depend on your local laws. It’s always better to check with your HOA and town clerk before digging for a new pool. Otherwise, violations could result in hefty fines.
