"I hired Merrie Ann Cullin to design a pair of town homes for construction on a small lot. The project required a long, narrow building that would not end up as a boring oblong. Merrie Ann was so successful in addressing this challenge with dormers and other interesting features that everyone believes there are four units instead of two. The interior is spacious and interesting because of cathedral ceilings,use of angles, and oak steps inlaid with ceramic. I was the general contractor for the project but Merrie Ann offered numerous suggestions for subcontractors, materials, and options for saving money. She prepared plans that were correct from the outset and ready on time. She went out of her way to obtain an engineer's approval when the first engineer decided not to honor his commitment to review the plans.
