The engineer responded to our emergency situation quickly and explained the issues involved. Drawings were completed earlier than expected and made the permit approval go smoothly. 100% recommend for any project you need structural evaluation/design.

I placed a house under contract that had foundation issues and was both nervous and concerned about what the repairs might entail. Firas, the owner, responded to my inquiry within an hour and was very accommodating in scheduling the onsite visit. His knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail seriously cannot be beaten. He correctly identified and quantified the issues at hand--something two other contractors I had brought out failed to do. We are first-time homeowners looking to check if a wall was load-bearing for a potential removal. I called several structural engineering firms and Firas was the only one to pick up when I called (the others never returned my calls). He was courteous and was able to schedule with us quickly. When he came to our house he was thorough and explained his process in great detail. We really felt like we could trust him and he did not try to push us or upsell us on anything. Highly recommend!

Firas was very responsive and willing to work around my busy schedule. I hired a flooring company to install new floors for me and was told by their "best" guy that I need to add three adjustable supports in my basement. We wanted a second opinion. Firas came over and checked not only the area in question, but my entire basement and first floor. He saved my major damages to my home by making sure that I did not follow poor advice. All said and done, Pittsburgh Design & Engineering Services saved me time, money, and a lot of future heartache. Very convenient. Engineer came the same day we called them. He gave us detailed professional reports. I called with questions and he was available to answer all my questions. I definitely recommend them without any hesitation. I also recommend them to my family and my friend.

Firas was very accommodating and responsive. We needed a structural inspection for the property we had an offer on within few days from the inspection. We contacted him on Friday afternoon and was able to inspect the property on Saturday, he provided us a detailed explanation of the problem and also the report was completed by 6:00PM same day with all necessary code references, pictures and conclusions. We would not hesitate recommending him and we will keep his contacts handy should we need his expertise and knowledge in the future.

Firas was a lifesaver for me when a misinformed home inspector erroneously flagged floor joists as incorrectly installed in a 2 year old Ryan Home. My seller employed Firas to evaluate the situation. Not only was he accommodating with his schedule, he was super helpful in explaining why the inspector was wrong and he was able to relieve any fears from the buyers of the home.
