The problem with most "pros"? Too many bad habits. It's easy to get swept away in the day to day monotony, even for those that call themselves "pros". When it comes to hiring a heating and cooling technician, nobody wants to deal with being treated like a sale rather than a person, the use of scare tactics instead of education, or someone who just wants to get to job done quickly instead of correctly. All our HVAC pros go through 5 years of HVAC schooling, for a total of 10,000 hours of on-the-job training. And it's not just technical training either; it's training that focuses on you, on making you feel comfortable every step of the way. We will roll out the red carpet for you, both figuratively and literally. Red Carpet Treatment During every visit to a home, we lay out an actual red carpet to prevent any additional mess. But what may be even more important than just protecting your home is making sure you feel like you've received the best in customer service.
"Do NOT use Calfo Home Services! We have been loyal customers, spending thousands of dollars with this company, but their recent actions have been unacceptable and dangerous. We called them to address a gas leak, and their technician assured us that spending $2,200 would not only fix the leak but also extend the life of our furnace by two years. After the work was completed, the gas leak persisted. When we informed them, they refused to fix the issue unless we paid even more money. This is completely unacceptable, as their technician failed to resolve the problem they were hired to fix. I am currently pregnant and have a 10-month-old baby at home. This is not just an inconvenienceâ itâ s a serious safety hazard. Breathing in gas fumes puts my entire family at risk, and Calfo Home Services refuses to take responsibility for their mistake. We will never use this company again. Beyond losing our business for our home, we also own multiple rental properties where we would have used their services regularly. On top of that, my mother-in-law, who we referred to Calfo, was planning to replace her furnace and air conditioning with them this spring. Now, she will also be taking her business elsewhere and sharing this negative experience. Itâ s a shame to see a company we once trusted care so little about their customersâ safety and satisfaction. Their unwillingness to correct their mistake is a very poor business decision, and itâ s cost them thousands of dollars in future business. Save yourself the frustration, and go with a company that values their customers and does the job right."

In most states, companies that perform sewer cleaning services don’t need specific licensing, but you should always ensure you hire a licensed and certified plumber to get the work done. You can use our state licensing tool to check whether the potential sewer cleaning company holds a plumber’s certification and license. Hiring a certified sewer cleaning services guarantees that the work will be done safely, there won’t be additional damage done to your home, and the problem will be fixed.
The average cost to snake your main sewer line is around $250 for a simple snake. Most sewer line specialists charge between $45 and $200 per hour for main sewer line snaking, so the time involved plays a major role. The price you’ll pay will depend on the severity of the clog, the item causing the backup, how long it takes to remove the item, and more. A more severe issue that requires unclogging a main sewer line will cost $3,100 on average.
There are a few signs of a clog in your main sewer line that you should keep in mind.
Common signs of a sewer line clog:
Multiple fixtures in your home drain slowly
Drains in your home gurgle during or after draining
Water backs up into your sewer line cleanout
You notice foul odors in your home
The best way to confirm that your main sewer line is clogged is to hire a professional plumber to assess the situation and use a camera to inspect the inside.
In most cases, drain cleaners will not clear a clogged sewer line, and they’re likely to damage your plumbing. Sewer lines are several inches wide, meaning any material that clogs it will need to be large. Drain cleaner can work on small clogs, but it usually won’t clear a larger one in a sewer main. Drain cleaners can also easily damage and corrode your plumbing with prolonged contact, and a clog will keep the cleaner in contact with the pipes for an extended period. Hire a professional sewer cleaner instead for a safe fix.
You should not attempt to snake your sewer yourself. Accessing and snaking your sewer requires heavy-duty equipment, and while renting is possible, misusing it can damage your sewer main and leave you with very expensive repair costs, not to mention potential environmental issues and severe water damage. Accessing your sewer also exposes you to hazardous sewer gasses, and failing to seal the sewer properly after work can be very dangerous. It’s always best to hire a professional sewer cleaner near you to handle this type of work.
