"I had the attic of a rental property converted into two bedrooms which needed framing, hanging sheet rock, base board molding installed and handing doors. Tom was able to fit me into his schedule and complete the work with-in 2 weeks. He came back quickly fixed a few misunderstandings as to what my expectations were and it looks great. I am excited about the finished project. I would contract out with him again."

"Rich & Famous are awesome! Communication is excellent! They did a fantastic job of installing railings at my house. Showed up when they said they would, completed the job at a fair price, were very nice and left the job site neat as a pin. Highly recommend! â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸"

Small jobs welcome

"Fantastic experience! My AC went out on the hottest day of the Summer. Demetrius came out right away and got my air working again! He cleaned up after himself and then even fixed a couple of small plumbing things that I had been putting off taking care of. Will absolutely give DJ’s contracting a call next time I need something fixed!"

"Tim did a very nice job of fixing parts of the deck where some floor boards were coming lose and adding screws to the flooring for improved stability. Then he completed the job with two coatings. He kept us informed of the progress, worked independently and also cleaned up and replaced deck furniture. Highly recommend!"

"Wonderful experience with Ultimate Install. Terrance and Tim are professional and courteous. They are very reasonably priced. This company does much more than installation. Terrific job staining and sanding my foyer stairs that had previously been carpeted. Tim's work ethic and attention to detail is outstanding. Can't wait to work with this company again on upcoming projects. Highly recommend."

"Mike repaired our drywall that was coming loose from the ceiling. His attention to detail was great and we were extremely happy with the results. I also asked him to look at one of our doors that was broken and he was able to quickly fix the issue. I would recommend Mike to others looking to make home improvements."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

In addition to flashing, a roof cricket can help divert water around your chimney so that it drains properly off your roof. It’s shaped like a double triangle and is installed behind the chimney so that falling water spills evenly down each side. This helps prevent water from accumulating behind your chimney, which can increase water damage and the risk of leaks.

The International Building Code (IBC) requires cricket installation if a chimney built after 2012 measures over 30 inches in width. Chimneys constructed before that date are typically grandfathered in and aren’t required to have crickets installed.

Ensure proper ventilation, fix leaks, and schedule regular pest inspections to protect your property.

Pellet stoves are safer than wood stoves in many ways. They don’t produce as many creosote deposits as wood stoves do, they create less smoke, and the flames are contained, decreasing the risk of any sparks or embers creating a house fire. Pellet stoves also burn more cleanly and efficiently than wood stoves do.

No, you can’t completely fireproof a house. There is always a chance that a fire can break out inside or outside your home. Even if most of the home is built with fireproof materials, a long-burning fire can still cause damage. Still, fireproofing efforts can buy you additional time to evacuate and give you a better chance of salvaging your home after a fire rather than needing to rebuild entirely.

No, you should never leave a fireplace burning overnight or unattended during the day. While fireplaces are made to contain fires, fires can and do spread from fireplaces, so it’s crucial that you’re there to monitor them and put them out if needed. If you’re worried about putting out a fire before bed, stop feeding it fuel long before bedtime and actively put out the fire using your poker, a shovel, and some baking soda.
