"SHORT REVIEW: You couldn't ask for a better painter! 2nd job DS Painting did for us and we couldn't be more pleased! DETAILED REVIEW: Derek painted a room for us 8 years ago when we purchased an Angie's List deal for his company. We were so impressed with his work ethic, personality, and the quality of his work that we kept his name on file. We recently moved into an existing home that needed to be completely painted: ceilings, walls, and trim. We were out of Derek's normal service area but took a chance that he would accept the project since it was a whole house. He accepted...YAY! As expected, he and his coworker, Mike, were AMAZING. Every surface of our home was covered with a drop cloth or plastic (cabinets); every outlet cover and register removed; every doorknob, hinge, and light fixture taped or covered so paint would not get on them. We gave Derek a key to the house and stayed out of his way. We were so pleased with the progress. We found out that Derek does tile work, so we asked him to also add a tile backsplash in our kitchen. That turned out great as well. The only evidence that they were even there was the BEAUTIFUL paint and backsplash: They cleaned everything up and even vacuumed the floors before they left. I will be saving up and trying to get enough work together to convince Derek to come out to us one more time for bathroom tile and anything else that he does. Honestly the best contractor (painting or otherwise) that I have had the pleasure of working with. Thank you, Derek and Mike!"

"I hired University Painters to paint the exterior of my house. They actually gave me a quote in January 2022 and honored that quote in the summer of 2023. The house had not been painted since the 90's so you can imagine the paint chips when they power washed the house. They picked up most of the paint chips (Yes!). We also had a couple of bushes that needed trimming so they could reach the house. They took care of this. Overall we were very pleased with their work and would definitely hire them again."

"They were great. Very communicative on arrival time, with quotes, with invoicing, and did all services exactly as they said they would and as good as we hoped. They were conscientious in their work, not finishing until it was exactly right...in fact they came back again to touch up some of the deck knowing they needed a certain spot to dry longer. Overall great guys and I'm looking forward to bringing them in again for the next project."

"Dan and Tyler did an excellent job. We had them paint the fellowship hall at our church. They painted the walls and doors, installed molding around one of the doors, and replaced some ceiling tiles had were damaged. We have used Dan for other jobs around the church. He installed a new railing at the entrance to the church, installed wainscoting and painted the interior of the sanctuary. I have used him at our house. They are our go-to company for jobs around our house as well. Last year they installed a new sliding patio door in our family room. I don't bother getting other estimates from other companies. I know others will probably be higher in price and I know that Dan will do an excellent job. I recommend him highly."

"The painting was carefully done, Care was taken to have no spills, no uneven painted surfaces, and the contractor was respectful and courteous to work with. I appreciated him replacing some drywall joint tape that had come loose in two bathrooms. It’s those extra touches and helps that makes the difference. My home looks great with a fresh coat of paint! "An owner himself came to meet with us (Jesse).  He was highly informative, and showed us graphics so we had a clear picture what the work would look like.  He explained every thing fully and we felt like we were his priority.  He quoted the job Friday and the crew arrived at 8:30 AM the following MONDAY-- only 3 days later.  This crew (both days) came in and worked like gangbusters!  Both days they worked 10 hours, and I never noticed anyone taking much a break.  It was actually exciting to see a team attack a project like this.  They were also meticulous:  Norm carried a heavy table out of the basement for me, then he and Angel covered absolutely everything in the basement with plastic.  Every detail of the French drain was addressed: including extending the line out to the street, and tying in problem gutters to relieve our water problems.  We also appreciated Brian (the foreman) explaining everything before and after the job.
I fully recommend this company.  They are serious about getting your business, and doing a professional job in the quickest amount of time possible so you can get back to living.  Very nice crew, great communication, and delivered on everything they promised.
