Myself and my employees take pride in what we do down to the smallest detail. We offer all aspects of interior and exterior painting; we also specialize in cabinet refinishing and faux finishes.

"Neil was very professional and explained the options we had with redoing our cabinetry. He was meticulous with our cabinets and hardware both with removal and installation. They look brand new and match perfectly with the cabinet boxes. Also, in regards to our basement, he brought a paint representative to examine our flooring since it had been sealed before incorrectly by a basement sealing company. He sealed our basement floor and it looks great."

High-gloss paint is the most durable of the paint finishes. Most glossy paints are enamel paint made from oils, which gives them that hard, shiny surface with higher durability levels. You can paint directly on laminate surfaces. However, the preparation steps generally determine how long the paint will last and the finish quality. Laminate has a very slick surface that discourages things like grease, oil, dirt, and other substances from sticking to it. While that's great for staying clean, the slick surface also makes it difficult for paint to stick without at least some prep work.

A professional painter will typically prep the walls to ensure a longer-lasting, smoother paint job. Prepping the walls can involve scraping off debris or flaked paint, filling in grooves or nail holes, sanding, cleaning, applying a coat of primer, taping the trim, and removing outlet covers. Using a roller allows you to apply a mist coat quickly to avoid uneven spots while drying, but it can create streaks and splatters from the watery paint. Applying with a paintbrush can take longer but may be less messy. There are pros and cons to using either a roller or a brush for the mist coat. The mist coat is diluted, so it can be messier to work with, but it also dries quickly.
