"The main Manager?, Owner? came into my foyer immediately complaining of how much pain he was in and stated he had medical issues and shouldn't even be there. He dramatically moaned and complained the entire time. He went to my pictures and was more curious about my family then finding out what I needed cleaned or problem stains on my carpet. When I tried to tell him about what was going to get moved and what I would like he refused to listen. I went upstairs to give directions about what wouldn't be moved and he held his arms out and barred me from going up my stairs telling me that I just needed to leave his "work space" and go relax while I sit back and be amazed, NOT! I just went to another room an he called me back adding "hun" to the end of my name even though I didn't know him. He referred to me as my name + hun the entire time as he asked for things he would have known if he let me explain at the beginning. He was in my daughter's room who had pictures of her pet rabbit that had passed 3 weeks prior. He made a comment about the rabbit and my daughter told him how much the rabbit meant to her and that he had just died and the guy's response was "did you eat him?" My daughter was very upset and mentioned how insensitive that was. We were met with a loud "well some people around here don't have a sense of humor" and " Yep that's me Mr. insensitive!" I just sit down and I would be called into his "work space" to show me how amazing the carpet was coming out. Once downstairs I tried to tell him that we needed the futon moved to clean the carpet underneath. He was about to leave the room when I mentioned he still hadn't yet moved the futon. I got a loud annoyed groan, and a very disgusted order to his assistant that "I guess we have to get the machine back out of the truck!" I got another moan about how he couldn't possible help move it because of his back and more name+hun I need some water it is way to hot in here. At this point I wanted to dump waetr on his head only he looked quite possibly like I would be calling 911 at any moment and never get this guy out. His attempt to make amends for comments regarding our dead pet was to say "I'm sorry about your rabbit...But i really do like rabbit...to eat I mean, no offense but they really are good." I couldn't get this guy out of my house fast enough. By the way the carpet looked okay but I was far from "amazed" by his supposedly superior machine and technique!"

Upholstery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Getting an upholstery cleaner depends on whether you feel you’ll use it often. As a specific piece of cleaning equipment, it can be a costly investment if it's left sitting only for special occasions. But if you clean your upholstered furniture regularly, investing in this specialty tool could save you time and money in the long run.

Yes, you can rent or buy a steam cleaner. A heavy-duty steam cleaner costs between $175 and $250 at most retail outlets and online. You can also usually rent one for around $40 per day.

Most of the larger machines you can rent from a hardware or grocery store have a larger water reserve and a heating element. Both operate by moving slowly and methodically over the carpet. Whether you rent or buy a unit, you will want to stay off your carpet for at least 12 to 24 hours while they dry.

The cleaning time varies depending on the items' number, condition, and material. On average, expect a couple of hours for a roomful of furniture. Drying times also vary, often completed within a day.

To remove dog or cat urine from a microfiber couch, use a safe solution for your furniture based on its cleaning code. First, blot up as much as possible, then cover the area with baking soda for a few hours to remove the smell. For S cleaning codes, use a spray bottle to spritz the stained area with rubbing alcohol and gently scrub with a microfiber cloth until the urine is gone. Use the same process for W or S-W cleaning codes but with 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of rubbing alcohol.

A cloudy film on top of a wooden surface usually means either the incorrect cleaner was used or there is polish buildup. You’ll need to start over again and remove the surface cleaner with a damp rag and some water and dish soap. Be careful not to leave the wood surface wet as this could cause water damage.
