"Showed up at 9:40 for 9:40 appointment. Job took 30 min. 2 workers. Nathan answered all my questions about the job and related fireplace issues. Happy to report that he stated when he didn't know the answer in depth, but suggested what may be the source of effects. The job was done quickly, professionally and cleanly. Quoted a list of optional improvements (chimney cap, brick cleaning/seal) and repairs (cement flue cap replacement) that should be considered, but that they not a limitation to safe usage of the fireplace. I would hire again."

"It went great, they kept in constant contact about the appointment and had to reschedule because of another issue.  They arrived right on time a day early but that worked great.  They performed all of the services paid for and let me know the status of the inspection and the quality of the fireplace the builder had installed.
I would definitely use them in the years to come.

"They were friendly, efficient and did a fantastic job on replacing/repairing our aging chimney. They replaced the flashing which was previously installed incorrectly. The new chimney cover works great and keeps the birds out. Excellent job on the clean up as well. Highly recommended."

"This message is for Angie's List. I want my $100.00 back in full refund from Angie's List.
Angie's List advertised wrong what the service was for Aden Roofing. This is not Aden's Roofing problem, and Angie's List should honor this and take responsibility. If I could, I would delete this review....but I couldn't find out how to. "

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Neglected maintenance can lead to odors, fire hazards, impaired airflow, and reduced range and hood operation efficiency.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

You should contact a local range hood installation professional to install your range hood and do the ductwork. Prices range from $50 to $100 per hour, with the total number of hours required varying based on the project complexity. Simple installations might take an hour or two, while more complicated ones can take four hours or more.

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.
