"These guys know what they are doing. Someone (ahem) tracked a broken lipstick all over the house on the bottom of shoes. Some older stains were also evident. They cleaned up everything and the carpet was in better shape than when we moved in a year ago. It's great to know that we have a connection with a low-key, no high sales pitch, experienced carpet cleaner. Will definitely be hiring again as needed."

There is no type of flooring that can match the comfort of your carpet. While this may be true, it's also true that carpet can be significantly more difficult to clean than any other flooring on the market. Vacuuming can be effective in removing the top layer of filth, but even the most advanced vacuums can't reach the dirt hiding deep within. The carpet cleaning professionals at Brothers Carpet Cleaning know what it takes to thoroughly clean the carpets and upholstery in your home or business. After a quick inspection, our team members will use the most advanced equipment available to deep clean your carpets and upholstery and leave them looking like new.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction and friction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls. Additionally, if a fall does occur, carpet offers more cushioning, which can lessen the severity of an injury. While hard surfaces can look great, they are often more slippery. However, it's worth noting that some carpets, especially if they are new, dirty, or have a slick texture, can also pose a slipping hazard. To improve safety on any type of stair surface, you can add traction treads to increase grip.

It's best to wait until the newly installed carpet has fully settled and dried before moving furniture back into the room. Your carpet installation professionals can provide guidance on the recommended wait time based on factors such as the type of carpet and adhesive used. Moving furniture back in too soon could damage the carpet or affect its adherence to the floor.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls, and its cushioning can lessen the severity of an injury if a fall does occur. Hard surfaces often lack the friction needed for a secure tread and can be quite slippery.

However, it's worth noting that some carpets can also be slick, particularly if they are brand new, dirty, or made from certain materials. If any stair surface feels too slippery, traction treads can be added to most materials to increase grip and improve safety.

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality.

The first step in budgeting for carpet is to determine the amount of carpet you need and the type of carpet you want. You might be tempted to opt for the least expensive option if you have a limited budget, but a low-quality carpet won’t last as long as a high-quality one. When accounting for future carpet repair costs, it makes sense to buy the best-quality carpet you can afford.
