I am in need of a hinge that he wasn’t able to find, and he said he would be in contact when he does to arrange a time to come back. He removed a garbage disposal and reconnected the drain, and replaced a bathroom faucet and a leaking drain pipe below. He also pointed out a leak that would require a licensed plumber. Definitely will hire again. Friendly, helpful, and clean. "

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.

While a handyperson will do the odd small job for your home, a maintenance person is responsible for conducting regular inspections and repairs.
