The planning and design stage was flawless and actually fun. Met with company president and interior designer every week or two. They really listened and cared about my ideas. They were always aware of my budget and worked hard to find and implement what I wanted within that budget. We had a project manager who was onsite most of the time. He coordinated and supervised the work of subcontractors. He was Always present for county inspections and worked on the building also. I loved that because I knew who to go to with any concerns. He kept us updated and we always knew what was happening next in the process. This company has integrity through out. We saw it In the staff, the subcontractors they choose to work with, and the quality craftsmanship they required. In the end the house was exactly as I Had envisioned it. This is not to say that everything was perfect and rosy. This size of the a project is going to have hiccups. But in the end I can say yes we would hire them again and we would do it all over!!

Price is expensive but they worked with me on keeping the price down. I wanted to keep the character of my home and they didnt fight me on that. They listened well. They were able to find solutions that other service providers did not.

I think there was some bad communication between those that arrange the services and those that do the actual work. I never saw the same plumber twice, and some of them were clearly clueless. They would also send people out at the end of the day for about 15 minutes of work. They would also try to bill us for things they didn't do.

The end result turned out well, but we wouldn't use them again.

An A is too low a score. I think these guys deserve at least an A+.

C and R Remodeling is by far, the best company we have ever worked with. Are they the cheapest? No, but we can tell you from experience that you get what you pay for and these guys are extremely reasonable for the quality of work and the service they provide. Over the past 3 years we have had a lot of work done on our home. It was time and there were many jobs to do. What ended up happening was that after a couple bad experiences we called C and R and they did everything to perfection. We began the process by having someone we trusted, who after working for others for many years was beginning a new business, replace a section of our roof that was flat and prone to leaking with a new slant roof. Sadly, the roof was done incorrectly and the wrong materials were used so that when it was completed walking into the shop area of our home was like walking under a waterfall. This person came out and tried to fix his mistakes several times and then, though we were patient, quit returning our calls. We called C and R and they redid the vents and flashing around the chimney, and by installing them properly our waterfall issues were gone.

Next we had them install new bamboo hardwood floors in our home. They were there preparing our floors and putting them down for nearly two weeks. The entire team were so polite and professional. They put down coverings to make sure that nothing was damaged in the process and they left the space clean and tidy each day when they left. After one of our other experiences this was so refreshing and appreciated. Our floors are gorgeous. Not only that but they are of the highest quality, the kids can ride the baby cars and scooters on them without doing any damage and they are easy to clean.

They took on the cleaning out and finishing of a really ugly mouse infested attic space, really ugly, and did it with a smile and left us with a very usable space that is so nice you want to take folks up the ladder just to take a look.

They don't usually take on many small jobs. However, we were so adamant that we did not want anyone else to do work for us again that the last time we saved up several small jobs and by having them do them all at the same time, they were willing to come and take care of those jobs for us. Whew! We were not looking forward to having to try someone new.

We know that we can count on C and R Remodeling to provide us with quality work, at reasonable prices, done by polite and well trained professionals. The kind of work that improves your home and is fun to show off when it is completed.

This company is very helpful and is a low cost. They take a lot of time to gather information to make sure they are giving you exactly what you want. They have 3-d remodeling to make it look very realistic for you. they put it all together for you so you don't really have to do much work.

We felt like the price was reasonable for the work that we got done, which was relatively expensive. One of the things that we liked about them a lot was that they were willing to partner with us to go back and forth between the things we could do ourselves and things that they had to do. Some contractors won't work with a homeowner that wants to do part of the work themselves while they're in process. So say okay we'll do x and if you want to you can finish up after we're done but we're not going to let you mess with our project. C and R actually partnered with us really well about that and we had clear written expectations in our contract about what parts we were going to do and what parts they were going to do and we did a lot of the demo and some of the cabinet install and all the finish painting. So they were able to work with us to keep the costs within our budget and get all the work done that we needed to do. Both the owner who came out and dealt with us initially, the lead carpenter Andrew who was our project leader and the designer Katia were all really accessible and responsive and were very interactive with us through a process that was strung out from October 2011 through the end of June 2012. We did bits and pieces. They were just right there for us all the time and we recommend them highly to anybody.

C and R has a very fine interior designer/decorator, Linda Stewart, and a very good CAD designer, Beth Rhoades. They along with Doug Lethin, the president, met with us numerous time over a period of about a year working on every detail imaginable. They we all very good and very patient as we modified the details of the project several times. We never felt rushed or pushed into anything we didn't completely agree on at any point in the process. We put in new cherry cabinets, granite counters and tile floors. For the shower, the walls are tile and the floor is quartz rock. The framing was tricky because having to move a wall with a complicated vaulted ceiling overhead, and it was done well. In order to stay within budget, Doug suggested that we contract the plumber and electrician ourselves, as well as buying the pulmbing fixtures directly. We used a plumber and electrician that C and R's foreman recommended and they were both efficient and punctual. Linda worked with us to help pick out the plumbing fixtures, tile, carpet, light fixtures, tiles, and all the accessories. Once we had decided on the granite type, she made several trips to Portland to find just the right slab. She also oversaw the tile installer to make her design was followed perfectly. The project was scheduled for an approximate 5 or 6 week duration. That stretched to about 9 weeks, only because a window supplier sent the wrong custom built window, so the correct one had to be reordered.
Throughout the project, C and R was very careful to protect the path from our garage to the project which was upstairs and nothing in the house was nicked, scratched or scarred from being bumped with things being hauled up to the project. Doug provided us detailed line item quotes every time we made a modification. He told us that, once we had settled on the scope, price and design of the project, C and R would never come back to modify their quote, and he was good to his word. Overall, this was a good experience and we are very happy with the results.

We started by attending one of their workshops on remodeling a kitchen and then asked to work with one of their
designers to come up with a plan for remodeling our kitchen, redoing the entry way, replacing all floor covering and repainting
the interior of the home. Katia, one of their designers, spent many hours with us getting a feel for what we were expecting
to end up with. It wasn't until we were confident that she understood our goals for the remodel, that the costs were in-line with
what we were prepared to spend, that we had to invest a small sum so that she could proceed with the 3D modeling which was
great because we could then see what the totally remodeled kitchen and entry way would look like. Cand R assigned a lead, Andrew, to the project and he managed all the subs (electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, etc.) and the project went right on schedule with only a couple minor hiccups along the way. The kitchen was totally gutted, new cabinets designed and custom built and exceed our expectations for quality.
The finished product is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the results. We definitely recommend Cand R to anyone considering a remodel, large or small.

The remodel was scheduled to be on their tour of homes and required them to complete the entire project in a fairly short time frame, which helped move things along. They are a very nice, professional group to work with. I highly recommend their services

The young man who did this work for me no longer works through them. The work he did though good was wrong. It is a pet door that requires no electrical interference. He circled the piece of equipment with foil and the foil caused interference. He was a conscientious worker but he did not know. They arrived on time. They were tidy. But he was just ignorant of this particular type of pet door and that ended up me spending more money because of that. But his demeanour and work ethic were excellent. I feel that because he had to come back a second time I should not have been charged because he did the same thing all over again and to this day it still does not work. But they charged me $75 the second time after paying them $155 the first time.. In the future I will probably use somebody else to do the work.
