Our team uses commercial-grade drying, dehumidifying, and air scrubbing equipment to ensure full mitigation and long-term protection.

"I highly recommend David and his company, Rutman Restorations. I had rodents in the crawlspace of my home and the insulation and vapor barrier needed to be removed and replaced. This was no small task, as I have a single story home which has a larger footprint than many two story homes. David and I agreed to an excellent price and timeline. At first I was a little overwhelmed because I could see this was going to be an all hands on deck process. David coordinated work with Summit Pest company regarding the removal of the rodents and even spoke with the HVAC company when we discovered water in one of the ducts. (Which has now been addressed by the HVAC company that installed the A/C). David and his crew went to work right away removing old contaminated insulation and then sprayed the crawlspace with an antimicrobial solution before installing the new vapor barrier and insulation. David always kept me informed as the work progressed. I was happy to see they were using respirators, specialized suits and other safety equipment during the process. The crew worked diligently, had a great sense of humor, they were respectful and kept a positive attitude the whole time. I’ve owned other homes, but this is the first time I’ve ever been involved in the restoration of a crawlspace. I knew I was in good hands with David, Nico, Ben, Nayla and their great crew. Thank you for all your hard work! Kudos to all of you!"

Pointe Pest Control is the premiere pest control agency in Oregon, Eastern Washington, and Northern Idaho. Why? We believe in providing excellent service to every customer. Our owner, Jacob Borg, has been in the pest control industry since 1996. While going to college, Jacob worked for 9 different companies in 4 different states. While working, he learned what worked, what didn’t, and how to properly treat his customers to ensure that they are pleased with every aspect of their service. When asked what makes Pointe Pest Control stand above the competition, Jacob said, “I am committed to providing a higher level of service as compared with some of the larger national companies. I enjoy every aspect of the business; treating homes, problem-solving with business owners, & doing my best to provide a solid working environment for employees that look forward to coming to work and doing their job.”

"This company did not honor their satisfaction guarantee. They treated for rodents. Guarantee a year work. Now they are saying they have to come out and will give us a free estimate but I will have to pay again for service."

Ecosystem Pest Solutions is a front runner in solving your pest problem using knowledge and experience. With us, using pesticides or insecticides is the last resort. Habitat modification and the education we provide are key. Our mission is to keep your home pest free with real green, organic problem solving; a solution for you, not a bandaid. We are not interested in signing you up on any contract, just pure guarantees, from us to you. The true green, non-toxic approach is not using any pesticides or insecticides, whether natural or not. Natural products are still labeled as pesticides and can provide toxicity to the environment if used incorrectly. Toxicity is a result of overuse, no matter the product. Even water can be toxic. However, in some cases the “minimal” use of pesticides or insecticides may be warranted. For example, ant colony elimination can be accomplished with minimal use of ant bait….applied ONLY to the active site and ONLY when the activity is occurring….not before or after. Another example, Biocontrol (e.g., bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis) is a great option for those who want nature to do the work. This bacterium is a naturally occurring predatory and parasitic pest solution that thrives in healthy soil, and is toxic in pest intestines. The most fantastic part of this, B. thuringiensis isn’t harmful to honey bees, they’re immune!

UNITED BATTERY SYSTEMS INC. has maintained a strong customer base year after year which is reflected today by the company's continued success. Howard also pioneered the export of scrap batteries to Pacific Rim countries for reclamation. The components of a battery are one hundred percent recyclable, over seventy percent of the feed stock for the manufacture of new batteries comes from recycled battery lead. A collection system was established for scrap batteries in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. This effort has helped keep the environment cleaner. In December of 1986 the department of transportation shut down the export of scrap batteries from the United States. This was due to improper packing, labeling and marking. At this point no one knew how to package the batteries according to D.O.T. regulations. UNITED BATTERY SYSTEMS INC. employees worked with U.S. Coast Guard officials and devised a packaging procedure that met all regulations and was acceptable to the Captain of the port; these procedures are presently being used where ever batteries are being exported by water shipment. Over the years a consistent number of sales in the category of rebuilt starters and alternators prompted Howard to add a custom rebuild operation to the main branch to service the built-in sales of the satellite branches and open up to the heavy industrial rebuild markets.

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

In certain cases, yes, the bees may go away on their own, but it’s a risk. Some bee types, such as bumblebees, create seasonal nests and then die out as their new queens seek homes elsewhere. But in most cases, you can’t count on the bees leaving naturally. It’s also not a great idea to leave openings in your walls any longer than you have to, which can attract other pests or cause moisture damage.

Yes, honey bees can sting, but they typically only do it when they feel their hive is threatened. When honey bees are away from their hive, they’re focused on foraging for pollen and nectar, making them unlikely to sting. Only female honey bees, called workers, have stingers, and they will die if they need to use them. Generally, if left undisturbed, honey bees will leave you alone.

If you’re dealing with a bee colony on your property, you might wonder if they’ll leave naturally over time. The answer depends on their circumstances. Bees often relocate if the hive becomes overcrowded, food is scarce, or they face a threat. With that said, if a hive’s location is safe, warm, and with plentiful food sources, they are unlikely to relocate on their own, and the hive may persist for many generations.

You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.

Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.

Some bees may return after the nest is removed. These are called "straggler" bees, and it may take them a couple of weeks before they leave. The reason is the nest may have been removed while the bees were away. These bees don't typically survive long once the nest is gone, so you may want to contact a beekeeper to help relocate them elsewhere.
