Three Rivers Mosquito and Vector Control is more than a pest control company that offers mosquito control services. We specialize and are experts in mosquito control. TRMVC is a Central Oregon based business and provides services ranging from feasibility studies and reports for the establishment of vector control programs to evaluations and recommendations for existing programs. We provide training, support and materials for in-house programs as well as providing tailored, full-service control programs. Our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs provide you one-stop, full-service management that maximizes your control over mosquitoes and other flying nuisances. Our professional staff develops and tailors programs based on your specific habitats, environmental sensitivities, and budget. Because TRMVC offers the widest variety of application methods, and utilizes the most innovative technologies to assess and monitor each program, we can achieve the right balance of efficacy with environmental responsibility. Plus we offer the industry's fastest scheduling and response time. No other company can service your needs better. TRMVC uses nationally accepted methods to control mosquito populations, including surveillance, source reduction, and the application of EPA-approved larvicides and adulticides for enhanced quality of life in any municipality. TRMVC bases its programs on sound science; routine inspections of treatment areas coupled with collections from surveillance traps enable us to determine the presence of West Nile Virus or other mosquito borne diseases, which mosquito species are present, their approximate population density, type of breeding habitats, and locations. TRMVC employs an IPM approach to scientifically and systematically design customized control programs for each municipality. Every program we design incorporates a combination of computer models, GIS mapping, weather monitoring, and least toxic and most effective biological and chemical controls. TRMVC combines this data with timely reporting to facilitate informed program decisions and critical public education assistance. Three Rivers Mosquito and Vector Control and the American Mosquito Control Association advocates management of mosquito populations when and where necessary by means of integrated programs designed to benefit or to have minimal adverse effects on people, wildlife, and the environment. This integrated pest management (IPM) policy recognizes that mosquito populations cannot always be eliminated but often must be suppressed to tolerable levels for the well-being of humans, domestic animals, and wild life and that selection of scientifically sound suppression methods must be based on consideration of what is ecologically and economically in the long-term best interest of mankind. The following principles are advocated: •Mosquito control measures should be undertaken only when there is adequate justification based upon surveillance data. •IPM programs should be tailored to the needs and requirements of the local situation. The combination of methods for mosquito control should be chosen after careful consideration of the efficacy, ecological effects, and costs versus benefits of the various options, including public education, legal action, natural and biological control, elimination of breeding sources, and insecticide applications. •Mosquito breeding sources, whether natural or created by human activity should be altered in such a manner as to cause the least undesirable impact on the environment. •Insecticides and application methods should be used in the most efficient and least hazardous manner, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and available scientific data. The registered label requirements for insecticide should be followed. When choices are available among effective insecticides, those offering the least hazard to non-target organisms should be used. "First- their service was not great. We had to have them come out several times for the same issues and other times they would come out when we asked them not to. Second- they charged me fees that they had said on more than one occasion they would waive. They even sent my account to collections after the 5th or so time saying they would waive the fee, which was years after I had service with them! Save yourself the headache and find someone more professional."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

The type and amount of damage pests can cause to your home depends on the type of pest. Some pests, like rodents, often chew through wiring and can cause extensive damage to electrical systems, HVAC systems, walls, and insulation. Additionally, the pest’s waste presents a potential health hazard if it contaminates food or water. Other pests, such as termites, chew through floors, walls, and furniture, causing thousands of dollars in damage and making for costly repairs.

Hanging wind chimes or motion-activated speakers near your home may be an effective way to deter woodpeckers, as sudden movement and sound often scare birds away. You could also try using reflective decorative items such as pinwheels or mirrors or placing decoys of large predatory birds in your yard. If these measures don’t deter the woodpeckers, you may need the help of a bird removal pro.

Mites hate dry conditions, extreme temperatures, and specific scents. Since they prefer humid environments, eliminating moisture inside your home can help kill them off. If you have essential oils at your disposal, you can use eucalyptus, rosemary, and clove to help get rid of and keep mites at bay.

Though it might look like the same wasps keep returning to your home year after year, most wasps do not return to the same nesting site. Instead, it’s far more likely that your home is attractive to wasps, encouraging different wasps to nest there come nesting season. Consider taking steps to prevent wasps to prevent a new group from coming next year.

When you spray a roach, the chemicals, usually a mix of neurotoxins like pyrethroids or pyrethrins, start affecting its nervous system almost immediately. It disrupts the roach’s nerve signals, causing paralysis and eventually death. You'll often see the roach twitch, flip over on its back, and stop moving within seconds to minutes.
