"We spent $50,000 on new windows and a new front door. We have no issue with the quality of the windows or the door itself. The installation went well, but somehow they ordered the wrong size for one of the windows, which added 2 months to the completion date. Also, I am pretty sure they sized several of the windows too small, as when they were installing them, you could initially see outside around the outer edges. They managed to fix that, but I remain convinced that the insulation performance is impacted by this, as the gap had to be filled with something (or so I hope). An infrared camera shows significant insulation issues around the perimeter, but I'm not sure how out of the ordinary this is, and it is still a big improvement over what we had. The big issue is that the electronic lock on the front door malfunctioned from the start. We pointed this out, and they attempted to fix the issue by jiggering the lock and swapping the batteries, which did not fix it. They said they were going to file a warranty, but it is now 5 months later and we still have a malfunctioning lock. My calls go to an answering service and no one returns my calls. So much for after sale support. I hope the window gaps don't become a maintenance issue as I apparently will have to deal with that myself!"
