"Excellent experience, windows are as advertised. Installers were clean, efficient, personable and through. If I had more windows I would have them back."
"Replaced sliding door & 2 windows! Very professional installers! Wish I would have done this years sooner! Hope to replace the rest of the windows soon! Highly recommend!"
"Renewal by Andersen of Wyoming did an incredible job with installing windows in our home. Thank you to the team who did the install and to the company for creating these exceptional windows."

"Jim was very helpful and personable to work with. I had recently moved to the Huntsville area and was unable to connect my wireless printer. There were also some things going on with my laptop that made me suspect a virus had somehow gotten on to it, it was running more slowly than usual, and I wasn't happy with the Win7 configuration I had done when I bought the computer. Jim came in and assessed the problems and we agreed on a time for him to take the laptop and reinstall the OS. He was able to get the wireless connection to work as well. He took the computer on a Friday evening and returned it Sunday evening in prime condition. A few weeks later I got an error message while reinstalling my accounting software so I called Jim. He talked me through the problem over the phone and I was able to get the program installed so I could use the program. Jim is great to work with, his pricing is very fair, he is prompt and reliable. I will definitely use his services again. "
"We received the equipment and it was in perfect condition. We installed the security system ourselves. Frontpoint has an app that you can follow and coordinate with your system, including testing the alarms. It was fairly painless. We had to call Customer Support to help with a window breakage sensor and the question was answered correctly and helpfully."
"I followed the process of making a claim through the CHW website. in just a few minutes after completing, I received an email that it was received and being dispatched. The same evening, CHW sends a response that a technician will be arriving the very next day, within a 5 hour window, between 3pm and 8pm. I received a phone within the first hour of that 5 hour window, and the tech was just 5 minutes away. He was very courteous, had all the proper PPE, in this day and age, and even took his shoes off out of courtesy to the homeowner. I showed him the issue with the fridge, and he immediately went to work. The job took about 25 minutes, with majority of that, simply melting the block, with a steamer. Not much chit chat, but never feeling awkward. Overall a very positive experience."
"It went very well. Matt Downey and Matt Lively are the owners of the company, and their knowledge of different available window/door products was very helpful when we were deciding which would be the best for our house. Matt and Matt bring samples of the window/door frames and windows so that you can see how they are constructed. That makes it a lot easier to decide which way to go. After our initial meeting, We met the two Matts at the Alside warehouse so that we could see an actual installed window in the showroom. That really helped us to make our choice. The installation occurred on a Saturday and Sunday. The crew arrived right on time and began work immediately. They worked until 5 p.m. on Saturday and returned at 9 a.m. Sunday, finishing by 3 p.m. The crew was very friendly and they didn't mind my watching how they did their work. They put tarps down in the house to protect the floors. The installation was very quick; we didn't expect that it would be done so fast. After installation was complete, they dusted the work area, vacuumed around the work area, and removed all the scrap from the installation and the old windows and door. If we ever need windows again, we're going with Rocket Construction LLC of Portland. "
"J&R Services were great to work with. My windows sparkle. They cleaned inside, outside, the screens and tracks with efficiency and care. I will call on them again."
Most windows last between 15 and 30 years. The exact life span depends on a few things, including the frame material, the quality and type of glass, the weather in your area, whether or not the window is installed properly, and more. You can always speak with a window professional about whether or not it’s time to replace your windows or if repairs would be more affordable. You’ll need to consider the cost of replacing your windows, the cost of repair, and the longevity of each solution.
There are several downsides to choosing casement windows for your home. Firstly, casement windows can cost significantly more than standard windows—especially if you need to install custom windows. If you plan on installing window AC units, then casement windows aren’t the best option, as it can be difficult to fit an AC unit into windows that open sideways or outwards.
The hinges on casement windows also pose a higher risk for break-ins, as rust and wear and tear can make the hardware easier for burglars to break into.
Soundproof windows can be energy efficient, depending on the window type and manufacturer. Overall, triple-pane windows are more energy efficient than double-pane windows. However, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, a window’s energy-efficiency level is determined by multiple factors, including the frame material, if there’s any low-emissivity (low-E) glass, and the addition of spacers.
A double-hung window features two operable sashes, meaning it has an upper window part and a lower part that can both open to let in fresh air. A picture window has one fixed glass panel that doesn’t open. Double-hung windows cost about $200 to $2,500, while picture windows cost about $200 to $1,900.
One of the best professional cleaning solutions that won’t leave streaks is one gallon of distilled or bottled water mixed with 2 to 4 teaspoons of dish soap. Apply using a sponge in a figure-eight motion, and then use a squeegee to remove the majority of the water and soap. You can finish drying with a piece of old black-and-white newspaper to remove any residue for a streak-free clean every time.
