"John Martin and his team have done great work for us. They have done several projects for us ( Shadow Box fence for our backyard, Extension wall for our staircase, capped the under side of our front porch/deck, and a few other things. John always answers his calls or returns messages asap and their work is top notch. I would recommend them to anyone looking for General/Full Home Building to give them a call."
"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"The technician did an excellent job. It did take a while to get the repair finished, but that was due to Bertazzoni delivering the parts. I have had multiple problems with this particular appliance. My range now works better than it did when new, but I have a feeling that even if I have continuing problems with it, American Home Shield will just repair rather than replace due to the cost of the range. By the way, I'm not exactly sure of the date of the repair."

"We got three bids on this roofing project on our primary 1390 sq. ft. residence. Two of our bidders were Angie's List recommendations. The third bidder wasn't but was highly recommended locally. John Jones, owner of Mid-Valley Building, was very professional and prompt. He showed up when scheduled and was prepared. He responded promptly when we asked for modifications to his bid and gave us other options to consider. We felt like we had selected a good team player when we signed our contract. He asked for half at signing and the remainder at completion. He was willing to take credit cards for payment which worked well for us. John and his teammates showed up at 7:00AM and were done by 3:30PM. John directed the roofing crew and his mother, Julie, did ground work cleanup. At the end of the day the roof was fully installed and the cleanup was perfect! At the end of the day we asked for a new roof on our garden shed and John responded with a good bid and completed that add-on within a week. All of his employees were pleasant and mindful or our property. We couldn't be happier and we highly recommend him and his crew! We will definitely use Mid-Valley Building again in the future. "

" - Arthur, owner, showed his concerns to the work his crew did, and stopped by my house. - The crew-leadsman was very professional and skillful.- The labor-hour special I purchased was fully utilized.- At the end of job, the work-site was fully cleaned."
"They did a real good job. They were real professional. We can now open the garage door from the inside of the house and now it is so smooth that we have to check to see if we hit the button to open it or close it. Before we used to know when it was opening or closing because it used to make a noise. It helps when you move to a city where you are new. "
Ultimately, a work warranty is only as reliable as the contractor you’ve hired. That’s why trust and reputation are such important factors, in addition to having a solid contract and confirming appropriate licensing, insurance, and bonding. When looking for a contractor, it’s a good idea to read online reviews and ratings to see what kind of experience past customers have had. Issues with your contractor can make for an unsatisfying renovation process, but a reliable contractor can make the process go as smoothly as possible.
It is a good idea to check in with your local city and state regulations before committing to building a shipping container home no matter where you live. This concept is pretty new across the country, and many places won’t let you build one.
The International Code Council (ICC) offers guidelines for home builders on the safe use of ISO intermodal shipping containers repurposed as building components, which can be helpful to review when planning or designing a shipping container home.
Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.
Yes, modular homes offer a wide range of customization options for layout, finishes, and features.
Shipping container homes last at least 25 years on average, but they can last even longer with proper maintenance. Since shipping containers are made from metal, they’re quite vulnerable to rust and corrosion. This issue is exacerbated in coastal areas or areas with a lot of precipitation. To extend the life span of your container home, install siding that protects the exterior.
