"Very professional and great groups of fellas doing hard work and leaving an amazing product. I hired them to climb and trim some trees, they were fast, safe, and willing to help out in any way they could. 10 out of 10 I would recommend them to anyone!"

Small jobs welcome

"My yard hasn’t looked this good in years! It has been covered in blackberries and another invasive species for the past 4 1/2 years since my husband’s death which was my main concern, but they had gentle suggestions for the rest. My favorite was the incorporating of my collection of large white quartz and granite river rock from the banks of the Rogue River from our many vacations on the coast and the use of my mother’s (an avid gardener) statues which they put to good use. (Didn’t realize I had so many of the latter!). They unburied some of the plants I had forgotten about, readjusted climbers, saved my roses, daylilies, a rhodie I thought was dead, and a lilac I thought some previous worker had killed, put weed fabric over every space before replanting the few plants I bought, showed me how to replant with new plants. I’ve had neighbors comment on my “new” front yard and friends on my back yard. And I really enjoyed them!"

"Nathan was professional and thorough. Completed everything in the bid on time and for the agreed upon price, which was very fair. Very good communication and follow through. We have a steep vineyard site that required extensive brush clearing and grading, along with a driveway that needed gravel replacement and resurfacing. We plan to use Nathan again for some annual maintenance of our site and can recommend him to others without reservation."

"Nick and his crew are experts in the tree removal business. We own apartments and they were able to cut down several large pine trees between the apartment buildings with no damage to the buildings. We were only in town for a couple weeks and Nick fit us in his schedule to get our job completed. Nick is honest, fair, a hard worker, and very personable. After they were done cutting down the trees they cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend V-Kley's Tree Service."

"I hired Brink's Tree care to work on three trees. Two trees were climbed and pruned of dead limbs and unwanted growth. Travis is a certified arborist who knows his business and cares about trees. He will tell you what he is going to do and how it will improve your trees health. He will literally go out on a limb to make your tree look good. My third tree was a tall pine leaning heavily over my carport. Travis climbed, limbed, topped and fell the whole tree in a short narrow space with no room for error. Not a single limb landed my carport. Skilled, professional, friendly service for a reasonable price. I could not be happier."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you should not use a pruning seal on trees after trimming. Applying a sealant can interfere with the tree's natural healing process, and it does not guarantee protection from pathogens. Instead of sealing the cut, the best practice is to support the tree's natural recovery by providing it with plenty of water and a dormant-style fertilizer. However, there are exceptions. Pruning seals may be recommended for very vulnerable species, like elm trees, in areas where dangerous diseases such as Dutch elm disease are prevalent. In these specific situations, the protection offered by a sealant can outweigh its downsides. For advice tailored to your situation, especially after cutting large branches, it is best to consult a local tree trimming professional.

A serrated knife will work for cutting off small palm tree fronds, about 1 inch in diameter. For larger fronds, you will need pruning shears. You may also use a pruning saw, and if your palm tree is especially tall, an extended pole saw can help you reach the brown fronds around the trunk.

Common signs that a tree is rotting include dead branches, a leaning trunk, peeling or cracked bark, leaf discoloration, and the presence of fungi. If you notice any of these signs, it’s best to hire an arborist near you to inspect your tree and determine if it can be saved or if it needs to come down.

Most tree removals take 3-8 hours, requiring additional time for stump grinding or debris hauling.

Tree roots don’t necessarily break through concrete on their own, but they can certainly take advantage of existing cracks, even very small ones. As roots grow, they expand the cracks, making them larger and leading to serious and costly foundation damage. It’s a good idea to have repairs on any foundation cracks you’re concerned about.
