"We had a problem with mice coming into the house and our efforts at repelling them weren't working anymore. Dusty from A-One came out , did an inspection under the house and saw evidence of mice activity and their entry points. He treated it with mouse bait and said someone would come back in two weeks to seal the openings. He was on time, courteous, professional and did a great job explaining the process.
During the inspection, he also identified areas with fungus/mold from previous water damage and suggested a treatment for that which could be done when they returned. Two weeks later, another gentleman came out to do that and seal the openings. He was also on time, courteous and professional.
We have not had a problem with mice since then.

"Ryan and Byrd were awesome! I called early today as my regular person who does routine pest control couldn't access the dead opossum due to duct work that was in the way. They provided service within two hours of my call and were able to successfully remove the animal! I'll definitely call them again if needed and will be using them for routine service just as soon as my contract ends with the other company. THANK YOU!!!"

"These guys came out really quickly. I was concerned I may have a termite problem: I had a bird that was pecking a hole in my house - I was sure it was b/c he heard termite grubs or something... As it turns out... NO, it was just a bird trying to peck a hole in my home... the gent that arrived looked - then took the time to educate me about it then fixed the hole - then gave me some options for fixing it if it should happen again."

"We found evidence of termite infestation. They responded quickly and inspected property the following day. Price was reasonable and employee was knowledgeable. He explained scope of work and options thoroughly. We added pest control as additional price was very reasonable. Work was performed the following day and we are satisfied with service."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Birds eat grass seed for one simple reason—it’s delicious! The seeds are rich in nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Seeds are also high in energy, so humans eat trail mix loaded with seeds and nuts for long-distance activities. Grass seed, when unprotected, is also exceptionally easy to access.

Yes, in some cases if your damper is left open, animals can come down your chimney. In these instances, it’s more likely that they have fallen in while looking for a safe spot rather than entered your house intentionally. Leaving your damper closed or installing a chimney cap can prevent animals from coming inside.

Certain strong smells may help repel bats, though this is not a foolproof method and is best used in conjunction with other deterrence strategies. Scents like peppermint oil, eucalyptus, cinnamon, cloves, and mint are often suggested as natural remedies. To create a spray, you can mix two cups of warm water with half a cup of sugar and a few drops of your preferred essential oil. Apply this mixture using a spray bottle to possible entry points and throughout the affected area, such as an attic. While this home remedy is popular, evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited.

Small amounts of geese are actually good for the environment. They help spread seeds and lead to more plant growth, but they’re often an invasive species, particularly Canadian geese. This means a small gaggle can quickly grow into a level that litters your lawn with bald patches and excrement.

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.
