"We highly recommend Blacktail Builders for any construction or contracting projects. Our business has hired the owners several times over the past few years while carpenters, and are consistently impressed with their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to delivering exceptional results. Their attention to detail, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving skills were instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of our projects. The owners adhered to the project timeline and budget, demonstrating a strong ability to manage resources efficiently. We were particularly impressed with their commitment to maintaining open lines of communication throughout the project. They promptly addressed any concerns, provided regular updates, and sought input to ensure that they were meeting our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend Blacktail Builders for any construction or contracting needs. Their combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and commitment to delivering outstanding results sets them apart from other contractors we have worked with in the past. "We highly recommend Berper Construction LLC. We listed our project on Angi and literally 5 minutes later we received a call from Gerardo to set up an appointment to look at and give us an estimate. He came over that same day and sent us a bid the very next day. We accepted him and his team to do the work and just over a week later once we got our funds together, they began working on our project and were finished in 2 days! He was very thorough explaining what needed to be done and sent us pictures from Home Depot of different items we needed for the job and let us pick out exactly what we wanted. Always on time, very kind, and honest which is much appreciated. Gerardo made sure that he did the job exactly how we wanted and never did anything without getting our approval first. We love our 9x9 pergola over our hot tub, thank you Gerardo, Edwin, and the rest of your team! We will definitely call again for other projects in the future! :)"

"They did a real good job. They were real professional. We can now open the garage door from the inside of the house and now it is so smooth that we have to check to see if we hit the button to open it or close it.  Before we used to know when it was opening or closing because it used to make a noise. It helps when you move to a city where you are new. "

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

While tile is the best option in the bathtub, don’t forget to consider the flooring around the wash station. Moisture-holding carpet is a no-no, but is tile or vinyl better for dogs? Tile flooring is tough, moisture-resistant, cool, and scratch-proof. However, it’s more tricky to install and costs more than vinyl flooring. If you opt for vinyl, select tough luxury vinyl flooring; otherwise, canine claws could quickly damage the surface of standard, budget vinyl.

Travertine is a natural stone, while porcelain is ceramic. You can enjoy the best of both worlds with porcelain travertine tiles. Some people prefer porcelain to travertine because it doesn’t require regular maintenance and it’s easier to clean. Porcelain travertine looks like the real thing but only costs $3 to $6 per square foot.

Regardless of the material, basic square tiles will never go out of style. Neutral colors like white, grey, beige, and black will always be in demand in residential and commercial settings. Certain designs, like herringbone and hexagonal patterns, are considered timeless. Porcelain and porcelain-like tiles will also never go out of style.

Yes, but you’ll have to use some other type of tool to avoid damaging the tile and possibly injuring yourself. Some alternatives to tile cutters include a glass cutter, angle grinder, and wet saw. Depending on the tile material, you might simply be able to measure and score it with something sharp, like a carbide-tipped pencil, and break it off. Be sure to sand the edge for a smooth installation.

It’s important to leave a gap in the corner when tiling to allow room for tile expansion. Leaving between one eighth of an inch to one tenth of an inch is enough space.
