Regrading a steep road deeply eroded by spring rains, placing two culverts, re-routing water run-off in multiple places and plus repairing the deep ditch from water run-off across and down my driveway was done efficiently and professionally. You should contact your driveway installer before winterizing a newly installed driveway. Winterizing it before the asphalt or concrete has fully cured can damage the driveway. But in many cases, you don't need to winterize a newly installed driveway anyway since it's likely freshly sealed and won't have much damage yet. 

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time.
