"Maxcare came to my house yesterday and did a great job of cleaning my old wall to wall carpeting. I was skeptical at first because I had a horrible experience a year ago with a different carpet cleaning company. Maxcare bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with their work. My carpet hasn't looked so good in a long time! Their price was fantastic, less than half of what I paid the lousy company. I will be a lifetime customer. If you want a great hard working professional cleaning company Maxcare is the one for you!

"Mike was AMAZING. He came and was honest about what he could do to make our carpets look better. He discussed the stains before he started so there were no surprises. We have 3 dogs, cat, and 3 kids who are all very hard on carpets. There were stains that he stated upfront that wouldn't come out. He was thorough and our carpets look better than ever. Best money I've ever spent on carpet cleaning. Very prompt and professional."

There is no type of flooring that can match the comfort of your carpet. While this may be true, it's also true that carpet can be significantly more difficult to clean than any other flooring on the market. Vacuuming can be effective in removing the top layer of filth, but even the most advanced vacuums can't reach the dirt hiding deep within. The carpet cleaning professionals at Brothers Carpet Cleaning know what it takes to thoroughly clean the carpets and upholstery in your home or business. After a quick inspection, our team members will use the most advanced equipment available to deep clean your carpets and upholstery and leave them looking like new.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you do not need to put padding or underlayment under carpet tiles. Unlike traditional carpet, which requires a separate pad, carpet tiles are designed to be installed directly onto a firm subfloor like plywood, concrete, or tile. Many carpet tiles come with a built-in underlay and attach with peel-and-stick adhesive, double-sided carpet tape, or glue. For a more comfortable, cushioned feel, especially in residential settings, you can opt for padded carpet tiles that have a thicker underlay attached. While it's generally not recommended to install a separate pad, a compact underlayment might be used in some situations, though this typically requires professional installation. An acoustic underlay may also be considered in commercial spaces or multi-level homes where noise reduction is a priority.

Installing carpet on stairs involves a lot more cutting, tucking, tack strips, and time. The shape of your staircase, along with the material and construction of the carpet you’re installing, will also increase the cost. Carpet installation on stairs will cost $400 to $800 in total, but it can go as high as $2,500 for difficult staircases, such as wrap-around, upholstered, or spiral staircases.

To prevent your dining room carpet from slipping, consider using rug pads or grippers underneath to provide traction and stability. Additionally, ensure the carpet is properly sized and secured to the floor to minimize movement. Regularly check and readjust the rug to maintain its position and safety under your dining room table.

Stain-resistant carpet might be worth it for your household if you have children or pets and expect spills to happen. While it may cost more than you expected upfront, you may save money in the long run if you have to replace your carpet less frequently (thanks to stains not absorbing down into the fibers).

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality.
